Artist Bio

Influences:   Nine Inch Nails, Perfect Circle, Pearl Jam, Royal Blood, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Kills

Ok I may have another stab at this thang. I have got a place to record and something I want to try out.

I have got looper pedal, drum machine, a couple of multi effects pedals and a voice (well as much as I can do without waking my child anyway). I am just gonna do one take recordings and see what happens. I have been playing around with sounds for a while and think I have got something I want to go for. My influences are kind of the mix of sounds that I am channelling (he says!)

Sod it, here goes anyways.

Thanks for the listen and comment on Solid Beat, I recorded the class live and it turned out really fun I was really happy, love having some feedback!!

  • @roadreg Feb 28

Thanks for the comment on 'Pancake Day'! It was made on a basic MIDI arranger on my tablet, so not something I usually do. I'm glad the drums sounded normal to you - in the interlude the bpm was meant to change to fit the drums, but the arranger is limited and can't do that (and I needed to quantise!) so I made do. Also I couldn't adjust note velocity and that's just no good 😀

    Nice influences, by the way!

Oh my goodness Dupletarion Warrior you are AWESOME!! You took the time to write 200 comments and listen to all those songs! Thanks for your hefty contribution to our community. You have 200 thank you’s from your fellow FAWMers and from me! Excellent work and keep busting’ those zongs!!

  • @mkd  Feb 24

Oops, I mean on The Dobbing in blues!!!!

  • @mkd  Feb 24

Thanks for your comment on Brotherly Love!

  • @fonte  Feb 22

Thanks so much for your kind comment on bones. Because it was a personally song to me I didn't hide my voice like I usually do, so glad you felt the vocals worked! You're doing well, nearly at 14!?

  • @paulh1237  Feb 22

Still fancy a collab? I have a stripped back guitar/bass/drums backing track but a complete lack of vocal inspiration..

  • @mdavisto  Feb 22

The Adventure Zone is a podcast about 3 brothers and their dad playing Dungeons and Dragons, mostly quite badly.

It's very funny, but after about 30 episodes or so, it takes a turn in scope, and the story opens up to become darker and more epic. But by the time that happens, you're already deeply invested. So what happens thereafter punches you in the feels, hard.

  • @zecoop  Feb 21

    E-mailed you something. 😀

  • @wacha  Feb 20

Thank you for your kinds words on "Follow Me"! Energetic guitar playing is something I'm known for when I play shows. I like to believe I make up for accuracy with my enthusiasm.

  • @mdavisto  Feb 20

Oh, me too. But a fact's a fact.

  • @mdavisto  Feb 20

Incidentally, did you know that Portishead: Portishead is a completely mono album? I never noticed this until recently. Some dude was talking about the fact that it was mixed on one speaker and I was like, what?

  • @mdavisto  Feb 20

It was the vibraphone, wasn't it? Thank you, a comparison to Portishead is high praise indeed. I was so into that album in the late 1990s.

IT'S SUCH A SHAME THEY ONLY MADE ONE ALBUM.

    Ahem.

  • @engebretsen  Feb 20

Thx a lot for comments on "Windswept Clouds" Very kind.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 19

Well, it *felt* like my falsetto while I was singing it. 😉 Thanks for feeling the groove!

  • @igg  Feb 18

Thanks for your lovely comment on "Be Careful Of Your Heart"

  • @mkd  Feb 15

Thank you so much for your comment on Ode to Coffee!! I've posted quite a few where I sound like a totally calm and with-it mum, I figured it was time for a slightly more honest one!!

  • @paulh1237  Feb 14

    Note: I.am 'game'

  • @mattyz Feb 14

Hey thank you for the kind words. Yes, I did fight a lions, tigers and a bears. It depends on how hangry my wife gets on these road trips LOL
God Bless! I'm going to check out your songs now. ROCK!

  • @adforperu  Feb 14

Ha, thanks man 😀 Just had slow progress since the weekend.. not that I've been making and binning, just not making! I also get a bit overwhelmed when my watchlist builds up like it has, but will find some time to give it some hammer

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 12

Thanks! The guitar tone is something I put together in Helix - I think it's a pretty basic fuzz/amp combo with some chorus? I like how it's got that early 80s new wave sound, but with enough fuzz to please Billy Corgan.

  • @bru2 Feb 12

Thanks for the kind words! @seemanski I was just rocking out to 'Not Like You.. I was tapping my foot along from the beginning. Great work!

  • @splittybooms  Feb 12

thank you on 'I cant do that dave'!
I've heard the music for the endings of the Portal games was epic, so I take this as a great compliment!

  • @jibbidy34  Feb 12

Congratulations Centurion Soldier! You wrote 100 comments for your fellow FAWMers!! You made this place even better. You took your time to listen to other people's songs and you have 100 thank you's from all of them and from me! Here’s your badge. Excellent work and keep busting’ those zongs!!

  • @hanley  Feb 11

Hey, thanks for checking out my tune and lovely comments. You were right about the pitch shifted guitars, they’re played with an octave ‘whammy’ pedal

  • @tan482  Feb 11

Thank you for your kind words on my lyrics for Waves. Hoping to dream up some music for it soon!

  • @arthurrossi Feb 11

Thanks so much for your kind and profound comment! I was very happy to read it!

  • @mmmmarcus  Feb 11

Thank you so much for the comments on my collab track with Colleen and on my track "Sushi Sunday"! Was super fun collaborating with Colleen, got such a vibe for that track and it was slightly out of my comfort zone for the singing too (love a challenge!).

  • @vomvorton  Feb 11

Nah not really, I reached the point where I pretty much had enough DVDs for the rest of my life, haha.

  • @dani312 Feb 11

Hey, thanks for the feedback on my tune wakeful night! It totally did get easier until I added another child to the mix! Somehow the first child got completely thrown off too once the second one came along...

  • @colgoo  Feb 10

Thanks for the kind feedback on my collaboration with Marcus (“Other Side of the World”). When I heard his first song, I immediately became obsessed with his voice. I am so grateful he agreed to do a collaboration with me!!!

But, I also want to say, that your feedback brought me to your page. You are a treat to listen to. Keep creating. Your music is a delight!

  • @shortdan  Feb 9

Yup, I’m on a iPhone, an iMac and a MacBook Pro! Must be all Apple devices then I guess? Glad you’ve found a workaround 😀

  • @shortdan  Feb 9

I've struggled to get any of your tracks to play this year (only yours too and I've made over 200 comments!). Has anyone else pointed this out? I'm not sure what you might be doing differently. I seem to be able to get round it when you make them downloadable but on your last one there doesn't seem to be any way it'll play for me (on any computer or my phone!). Weird thing is I can see others HAVE heard it so God know's what's going on! Any chance you can make it downloadable so I can have a listen? Ta!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 8

So glad you enjoyed "My Friend"- jibbidy34 did an amazing job of the music on it!

  • @vomvorton  Feb 1

Yep, still at Balfours - there has been a wave of people leaving recently, I'll probably be in charge of the company soon at this rate. Dunno if that's a good or bad thing though! Good work on the loft space!

  • @zecoop  Jan 24
