Artist Bio

Influences:   Nine Inch Nails, Perfect Circle, Pearl Jam, Royal Blood, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Kills

Ok I may have another stab at this thang. I have got a place to record and something I want to try out.

I have got looper pedal, drum machine, a couple of multi effects pedals and a voice (well as much as I can do without waking my child anyway). I am just gonna do one take recordings and see what happens. I have been playing around with sounds for a while and think I have got something I want to go for. My influences are kind of the mix of sounds that I am channelling (he says!)

Sod it, here goes anyways.

Thanks so much for your kind comment on bones. Because it was a personally song to me I didn't hide my voice like I usually do, so glad you felt the vocals worked! You're doing well, nearly at 14!?

  • @paulh1237  1 day

Still fancy a collab? I have a stripped back guitar/bass/drums backing track but a complete lack of vocal inspiration..

The Adventure Zone is a podcast about 3 brothers and their dad playing Dungeons and Dragons, mostly quite badly.

It's very funny, but after about 30 episodes or so, it takes a turn in scope, and the story opens up to become darker and more epic. But by the time that happens, you're already deeply invested. So what happens thereafter punches you in the feels, hard.

    E-mailed you something. 😀

Thank you for your kinds words on "Follow Me"! Energetic guitar playing is something I'm known for when I play shows. I like to believe I make up for accuracy with my enthusiasm.

  • @mdavisto  3 days

Oh, me too. But a fact's a fact.

  • @mdavisto  3 days

Incidentally, did you know that Portishead: Portishead is a completely mono album? I never noticed this until recently. Some dude was talking about the fact that it was mixed on one speaker and I was like, what?

  • @mdavisto  3 days

It was the vibraphone, wasn't it? Thank you, a comparison to Portishead is high praise indeed. I was so into that album in the late 1990s.

Thank you so much for your comment on Ode to Coffee!! I've posted quite a few where I sound like a totally calm and with-it mum, I figured it was time for a slightly more honest one!!

Hey thank you for the kind words. Yes, I did fight a lions, tigers and a bears. It depends on how hangry my wife gets on these road trips LOL
God Bless! I'm going to check out your songs now. ROCK!

  • @adforperu  1 week

Ha, thanks man 😀 Just had slow progress since the weekend.. not that I've been making and binning, just not making! I also get a bit overwhelmed when my watchlist builds up like it has, but will find some time to give it some hammer

Thanks! The guitar tone is something I put together in Helix - I think it's a pretty basic fuzz/amp combo with some chorus? I like how it's got that early 80s new wave sound, but with enough fuzz to please Billy Corgan.

  • @bru2 1 week

Thanks for the kind words! @seemanski I was just rocking out to 'Not Like You.. I was tapping my foot along from the beginning. Great work!

  • @splittybooms  1 week

Thank you so much for the comments on my collab track with Colleen and on my track "Sushi Sunday"! Was super fun collaborating with Colleen, got such a vibe for that track and it was slightly out of my comfort zone for the singing too (love a challenge!).

  • @vomvorton  1 week

Nah not really, I reached the point where I pretty much had enough DVDs for the rest of my life, haha.

  • @dani312 1 week

Hey, thanks for the feedback on my tune wakeful night! It totally did get easier until I added another child to the mix! Somehow the first child got completely thrown off too once the second one came along...

  • @colgoo  1 week

Thanks for the kind feedback on my collaboration with Marcus (“Other Side of the World”). When I heard his first song, I immediately became obsessed with his voice. I am so grateful he agreed to do a collaboration with me!!!

But, I also want to say, that your feedback brought me to your page. You are a treat to listen to. Keep creating. Your music is a delight!

  • @shortdan  2 weeks

Yup, I’m on a iPhone, an iMac and a MacBook Pro! Must be all Apple devices then I guess? Glad you’ve found a workaround 😀

  • @shortdan  2 weeks

I've struggled to get any of your tracks to play this year (only yours too and I've made over 200 comments!). Has anyone else pointed this out? I'm not sure what you might be doing differently. I seem to be able to get round it when you make them downloadable but on your last one there doesn't seem to be any way it'll play for me (on any computer or my phone!). Weird thing is I can see others HAVE heard it so God know's what's going on! Any chance you can make it downloadable so I can have a listen? Ta!
