I'm Sean, and I'm a music teacher. This is my fifth FAWM, though I've only "won" once.
I'm always happy to collaborate, whether as an arranger, lyricist, or instrumentalist.

In the liner notes for "The Wildest Dream" you mention not wanting to belt vocals or play the viola at full steam for fear of ticking off the neighbours. Never underestimate the power of recording vocals in a closet filled with clothing with just enough room to put a mic or two and you or the instrument. A touch of reverb or delay can always be added later to make it sound more live. When I used to live in an apartment I commandeered the second bedroom closet to record in....much to the chagrin of my wife....who likes lots of clothing 😀
Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated!!!
Re: Vanilla Sunshine... Yes, I always get a more natural relaxed vibe playing at 432hz, my voice especially likes it, and I feel it resonate within me much more deeply. I've been playing with 432 for years, and this song (super-)naturally poured out of me one morning because of that. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you very much for the comment on "Mandy Lane" that was a favorite of mine for this year, it's nice to see so many people enjoy it as well.
Thanks for listening and commenting on my tune.
Great job yourself, you DO know what you're doing! It does hang together a little better with everything getting the same reverb, I think. Thanks again!
Thanks a ton for taking the time to listen and comments and recommend my song with metalfoot. I can't thank you enough.
And... You're in Kalamazoo? Seriously? How did I not know this? I'm in Mattawan, work in Portage and my band Treading Bleu is based in Kalamazoo. Check out kovbleu slawbleu and guatecoop if you have not already. 😀
Sean, Thanks for the comment on the song Contemplate. I have been working on ensuring playing cleaner and getting a good recording. It has made the mixing so much easier (and this track needed some mix magic). Thanks again
Thank you Sean for those incredible vocals on 'Ascension In A Blue Mist' 😀 They are perfect 😀
I've emailed you about our collaboration on 'Ascension in a Blue Mist' 😀
Thanks for your comment on Puede ser. I loved how you have already have an order of your tracks on your FAWM album. Keep up! Only 5 songs left 😀
Currently it is all structured, would just need you to place viola part. 😀
(also, tomatoes are ok I guess... in some contexts...)
Hey Sean, I have a couple of FAWM song that I have been holding on, (because I'm trying to listen!), but one that I have, has a violin on it, would you want to collab on it?
Wow, I just realized I haven't commented on any of your songs despite having listened to them all. What's wrong with me?!?!?!?
Hi Sean...thanks for your comments on Scenic Walk Home. Glad you enjoyed it.
Aww shucks thank you for enjoying my song, sense of humor, and pain. 😀
Thank you for saying hello. Yes, I'm loving FAWM. Loving the stretching that comes with it, especially with the skirmishes. Never written this many songs in a day, even when I wrote really bad ones. LOL.
Thanks for the Zongbust on Ecstasy. As for playing it live, it's basically what you heard on the demo minus the atmospherics that begin before the guitar & populate the entire track. I could conceivably add the atmospherics using my laptop, but that would be a new development. Again, thanks for the Zongbust & the great comment.
See You In The Shadows…
Thanks soooo much for your wonderful, generous words... You are way too kind...
Congratulations on hitting Century Club! 😀
Hey Sean, thanks for listening and commenting on "Time We" I think I will work on it a bit,
Wow! I am very impressed by the sensitiveness of your beautiful and profound comment... You really felt the "core" of the lyrics... Thanks so much for dropping by and having taken the time... I appreciate it a lot...
Send me an email at email@example.com about "Gut Check" at your earliest convenience. I am eager to help!
Hi Sean, Thank you for the feedback. I was a little disappointed with how the vocals came out as I didn't feel I was getting the same passion while I was recording as I did when I was practicing, your comment made me feel better about it 😀 . There were no effects on the vocals, just some compression. Other than that my theory side of music is extremely limited so I can't really explain what I was doing ... Cheers and thanks for listening!
Thanks for your feedback on my track, much appreciated! 😀
thank you for your comments on along ths earthly path i sometes go isnt that the objective of a song i A minor? to put you to sleep and give you nightmares?
thanks for listening to my song 😀
Yes yes yes please take time for love and do what you will 😆😆😆😆😆
Would like to talk over some ideas for a collaboration, assuming you're still interested -- my e-mail is in my profile.
Thanks for the comments on Color TV/Transistor Radio.
Thanks for your comment on "Alchemical Transformation" ... you definitely got the vibe I was going for, which makes me feel good!
I'll hit you up on soundcloud with my email so we can send stuff back and forth regarding your song "Gut Check."
Thanks for your listening on Kicking Down, I appreciate it!
Thank you so much for being the first to listen to and comment on one of my songs 😁 😁 Happy FAWM to you too!!
Thanks for swinging on by Let's Go. If you want some of those organ chops, you know where to ask 😀
They are actually MIDI drums. I use a VST instrument from Sennheiser called DrumMic'A which is free... if you register on their German website! I can send you a link if you'd like.
Thanks for your cool comment on Red Light Fever. Why not write your own verse to it? Or a bridge? Or...
I can send you the backingtrack if you like. Lemme know.
Hello again~! That sounds fine to me! I really like the atmosphere of your songs. Keep on making music and thanks again for your interest in my lyrics 😁
Thank you for your kind comments on What We Love. The lyrics felt as though they should run into each other...
Thanks. Yeah, I've been using that for as long as I can remember… it's as much a part of my music and creativity as my guitar is in some ways.
My day 2 was very good. I recorded two songs & feel like I've gotten off to a very good start. How about you?
See You In The Shadows…
You know, I didn't think about the tonic-to-dominant-and-reverse thing, I just kinda went and did it. I was just having fun. 😀 Thanks for the listen and wonderful comment --- it was "Beneficial" to me!
Thank you for the nice comment, Sean!
Hey thanks for the comment, man! 😀
Hey there, Sean! I'm totally open for a collab. Thanks for taking interest in my lyrics!
Hi Sean! Thanks for your feedback, Green Day were the first band I got into so hearing you compare me to them is a pretty huge compliment, thanks!
Hey Sean, thanks for the feedback on my song! I'm practicing your tip, and posting on your soundboard. 😉
Happy FAWM to you too! Time for another song...
I enjoyed the rest of the suite, but as I said in my individual comments, I'm looking forward to the completed album. You've really got me interested.
See You In The Shadows…
I don't know about Rod, but I'm also a Michigander 😀
Thanks for the listening I hold that song close to me and I always remix and upgrade it . Today's session was great and I look forward to hearing more of your work as well
Sean... Thank you for the comment.. by my experiences, it's harder to do a simple "voice and guitar" song rather than a song with drums, bass, guitar etc... Stay true..!
Thank you so much for the Zongbust on Winds. Yep, I love Prog & that influence appears in a lot of my music.
See You In The Shadows…
Ha, I thought Chad and Jeremy might have covered "Since..." Mkaes more sense this way,
Joe Rock! (ignore this comment)
What's the Chad and Jeremy connection?
It's such a great song to sing, and that iv chord makes it sound a little bit eerie. You usually hear that in a major-to-minor kind of context, not just sitting there all by itself. Or maybe it's the melody that gives it such a weird song, I don't know. Who was the producer?
It's Michiganian, you barbarian!
I'm still in good old Ann Arbor. I'll probably die here.
immediate watch for viola love! looking forward to your viola-laden tunes!! 😁
AND off we go. (I only press "report abuse" buttons on my own posts, it keeps the FAWM Gods alert and confused).
I thought about clicking the "report abuse" button on your comment, but then realized that I'd much rather write a song about how shorts are comfy and easy to wear.
