In the liner notes for "The Wildest Dream" you mention not wanting to belt vocals or play the viola at full steam for fear of ticking off the neighbours. Never underestimate the power of recording vocals in a closet filled with clothing with just enough room to put a mic or two and you or the instrument. A touch of reverb or delay can always be added later to make it sound more live. When I used to live in an apartment I commandeered the second bedroom closet to record in....much to the chagrin of my wife....who likes lots of clothing πŸ˜€

Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated!!!

  • @grm Mar 2

Re: Vanilla Sunshine... Yes, I always get a more natural relaxed vibe playing at 432hz, my voice especially likes it, and I feel it resonate within me much more deeply. I've been playing with 432 for years, and this song (super-)naturally poured out of me one morning because of that. Thanks for the comment.

  • @wacha Mar 2

Thank you very much for the comment on "Mandy Lane" that was a favorite of mine for this year, it's nice to see so many people enjoy it as well.

  • @krayzie003  Mar 2

Thanks for listening and commenting on my tune.

  • @apertome  Feb 28

Great job yourself, you DO know what you're doing! It does hang together a little better with everything getting the same reverb, I think. Thanks again!

  • @zecoop  Feb 27

Thanks a ton for taking the time to listen and comments and recommend my song with metalfoot. I can't thank you enough.
And... You're in Kalamazoo? Seriously? How did I not know this? I'm in Mattawan, work in Portage and my band Treading Bleu is based in Kalamazoo. Check out kovbleu slawbleu and guatecoop if you have not already. πŸ˜€

  • @beautyspot  Feb 27

Sean, Thanks for the comment on the song Contemplate. I have been working on ensuring playing cleaner and getting a good recording. It has made the mixing so much easier (and this track needed some mix magic). Thanks again

  • @ajna1960  Feb 26

Thank you Sean for those incredible vocals on 'Ascension In A Blue Mist' πŸ˜€ They are perfect πŸ˜€

  • @kraftec Feb 26

Heres the finished version of Ascension in a Blue Mist

  • @kraftec Feb 25

I've emailed you about our collaboration on 'Ascension in a Blue Mist' πŸ˜€

  • @laotranati Feb 23

Thanks for your comment on Puede ser. I loved how you have already have an order of your tracks on your FAWM album. Keep up! Only 5 songs left πŸ˜€

  • @chrisshepard Feb 21

Not creepy at all and thank you very much! I think the song you're talking about is "Kick the Loud One Out"

  • @rj1  Feb 14

Currently it is all structured, would just need you to place viola part. πŸ˜€

  • @deadhead  Feb 13

(also, tomatoes are ok I guess... in some contexts...)

  • @deadhead  Feb 13

  • @rj1  Feb 12

Hey Sean, I have a couple of FAWM song that I have been holding on, (because I'm trying to listen!), but one that I have, has a violin on it, would you want to collab on it?

  • @deadhead  Feb 12

Wow, I just realized I haven't commented on any of your songs despite having listened to them all. What's wrong with me?!?!?!?

  • @reggiestyte Feb 11

Hi Sean...thanks for your comments on Scenic Walk Home. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • @unpronounceable Feb 11

Aww shucks thank you for enjoying my song, sense of humor, and pain. πŸ˜€

  • @squeakmouse73 Feb 11

Thank you for saying hello. Yes, I'm loving FAWM. Loving the stretching that comes with it, especially with the skirmishes. Never written this many songs in a day, even when I wrote really bad ones. LOL.

  • @candle Feb 10

Thanks for the Zongbust on Ecstasy. As for playing it live, it's basically what you heard on the demo minus the atmospherics that begin before the guitar & populate the entire track. I could conceivably add the atmospherics using my laptop, but that would be a new development. Again, thanks for the Zongbust & the great comment.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @arthurrossi Feb 9

Thanks soooo much for your wonderful, generous words... You are way too kind...

  • @yam655  Feb 9

Congratulations on hitting Century Club! πŸ˜€

  • @gflatminor  Feb 9

Hey Sean, thanks for listening and commenting on "Time We" I think I will work on it a bit,

  • @arthurrossi Feb 8

Wow! I am very impressed by the sensitiveness of your beautiful and profound comment... You really felt the "core" of the lyrics... Thanks so much for dropping by and having taken the time... I appreciate it a lot...

  • @amurjulink Feb 7

Send me an email at about "Gut Check" at your earliest convenience. I am eager to help!

  • @juravial  Feb 7

Hi Sean, Thank you for the feedback. I was a little disappointed with how the vocals came out as I didn't feel I was getting the same passion while I was recording as I did when I was practicing, your comment made me feel better about it πŸ˜€ . There were no effects on the vocals, just some compression. Other than that my theory side of music is extremely limited so I can't really explain what I was doing ... Cheers and thanks for listening!

  • @benbarden  Feb 7

Thanks for your feedback on my track, much appreciated! πŸ˜€

  • @timfatchen  Feb 7

What a kind comment! (Tracing Me) But some lyrics just jump out at me and make me their own and I'm lost, something just takes over. I can't claim sole responsibility! It's @larry's doing in the first place!

  • @billwhite51 Feb 7

thank you for your comments on along ths earthly path i sometes go isnt that the objective of a song i A minor? to put you to sleep and give you nightmares?

  • @akokulit Feb 5

thanks for listening to my song πŸ˜€

  • @brrrse  Feb 5

Yes yes yes please take time for love and do what you will πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

  • @apertome  Feb 5

Would like to talk over some ideas for a collaboration, assuming you're still interested -- my e-mail is in my profile.

  • @larry Feb 4

Thanks for the comments on Color TV/Transistor Radio.

  • @apertome  Feb 4

Thanks for your comment on "Alchemical Transformation" ... you definitely got the vibe I was going for, which makes me feel good!

  • @amurjulink Feb 4

I'll hit you up on soundcloud with my email so we can send stuff back and forth regarding your song "Gut Check."

  • @b00n  Feb 4

Thanks for your listening on Kicking Down, I appreciate it!

  • @meriamber  Feb 4

Thank you so much for being the first to listen to and comment on one of my songs 😁 😁 Happy FAWM to you too!!

  • @deadhead  Feb 3

Thanks for swinging on by Let's Go. If you want some of those organ chops, you know where to ask πŸ˜€

They are actually MIDI drums. I use a VST instrument from Sennheiser called DrumMic'A which is free... if you register on their German website! I can send you a link if you'd like.

  • @dutch1967 Feb 3

Thanks for your cool comment on Red Light Fever. Why not write your own verse to it? Or a bridge? Or...
I can send you the backingtrack if you like. Lemme know.

  • @not606 Feb 3

Hello again~! That sounds fine to me! I really like the atmosphere of your songs. Keep on making music and thanks again for your interest in my lyrics 😁

  • @aprilm Feb 3

Thank you for your kind comments on What We Love. The lyrics felt as though they should run into each other...

  • @candle Feb 3

Thanks. Yeah, I've been using that for as long as I can remember… it's as much a part of my music and creativity as my guitar is in some ways.
My day 2 was very good. I recorded two songs & feel like I've gotten off to a very good start. How about you?

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @metalfoot  Feb 3

You know, I didn't think about the tonic-to-dominant-and-reverse thing, I just kinda went and did it. I was just having fun. πŸ˜€ Thanks for the listen and wonderful comment --- it was "Beneficial" to me!

  • @toms  Feb 3

Thank you for the nice comment, Sean!

  • @ianuarius  Feb 2

Hey thanks for the comment, man! πŸ˜€

  • @not606 Feb 2

Hey there, Sean! I'm totally open for a collab. Thanks for taking interest in my lyrics!

  • @dex01 Feb 2

Hi Sean! Thanks for your feedback, Green Day were the first band I got into so hearing you compare me to them is a pretty huge compliment, thanks!

  • @unkept Feb 2

Hey Sean, thanks for the feedback on my song! I'm practicing your tip, and posting on your soundboard. πŸ˜‰

Happy FAWM to you too! Time for another song...

  • @candle Feb 2

I enjoyed the rest of the suite, but as I said in my individual comments, I'm looking forward to the completed album. You've really got me interested.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @bobskyyoung Feb 2

    I don't know about Rod, but I'm also a Michigander πŸ˜€

  • @arice11 Feb 2

Thanks for the listening I hold that song close to me and I always remix and upgrade it . Today's session was great and I look forward to hearing more of your work as well

  • @gromwaf Feb 1

Sean... Thank you for the comment.. by my experiences, it's harder to do a simple "voice and guitar" song rather than a song with drums, bass, guitar etc... Stay true..!

  • @candle Feb 1

Thank you so much for the Zongbust on Winds. Yep, I love Prog & that influence appears in a lot of my music.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @downburst  Feb 1

Ha, I thought Chad and Jeremy might have covered "Since..." Mkaes more sense this way,

  • @downburst  Feb 1

    Joe Rock! (ignore this comment)

  • @downburst  Feb 1

What's the Chad and Jeremy connection?

It's such a great song to sing, and that iv chord makes it sound a little bit eerie. You usually hear that in a major-to-minor kind of context, not just sitting there all by itself. Or maybe it's the melody that gives it such a weird song, I don't know. Who was the producer?

  • @mosley  Jan 31

  • @downburst  Jan 31

    It's Michiganian, you barbarian!

I'm still in good old Ann Arbor. I'll probably die here.

  • @ginomakesmusic  Jan 30

immediate watch for viola love! looking forward to your viola-laden tunes!! 😁

  • @mikeskliar  Jan 30

    welcome back!

  • @timfatchen  Jan 30

AND off we go. (I only press "report abuse" buttons on my own posts, it keeps the FAWM Gods alert and confused).

  • @deadhead  Jan 30

I thought about clicking the "report abuse" button on your comment, but then realized that I'd much rather write a song about how shorts are comfy and easy to wear.
