Influences: Little bit of this, little bit of that. Most of what I write are, loosely speaking, Americana/folk songs, with some jazz and blues influences, and occasional bits of Beatles and Broadway.
Feb. 28 update: FAWM 2017 is a wrap for me. I'm very happy with my results. And now - lots of listening and commenting still to come, and maybe some updated demos.
Feb. 20 Update: Back home again - ready to catch up with listening and record some more songs!
Feb. 5 update: Gonna be away from the home studio for a while. I'll still have time to write, so I may post some lo-fi recordings from the road. Otherwise I'll do some batch recording & posting when I'm back home.
Very excited to be back for FAWM 2017! This year's themes: Resistance, healing, justice, light

Thank you for your kind comment on Silver Anniversary. Appreciate it.
Thank you for your kind comments on "Sitting On Gravity"!
Hi Sharon, thank you for your warm message. It is always a pleasure to listen and to comment on your songs and collaborations. Yes I'm around for 50/90 and it will be wonderful to collaborate. Thank you for all your support for my music and collaborations. Looking forward to hearing more of your songs.
Thank you Sharon! I got your contribution to "Humans". Are you offering to do a video?!? It has crossed my mind. All proceeds to charity, --a sanctuary program or something like that.
Hi1 Thanks for commenting on my Damn Good Song. 😁
No probs. I do intend to re-record some/many of the songs I've uploaded. I put some effort into the first few, using a real mic and multitracking, but the later ones are just Audacity on my computer's mic.
Thanks for the comment on "St. Someone's Gym." Yeah, British Sterling, and a few brave souls that wore Hai Karate! 😓 But it did seem like all of the girls were wearing Desert Flower. Congrats on getting the trophy - hope your FAWM was fun.
I appreciated your insight into the structure of my whooping crane song, and the rest of your lovely comment. 😀
Thanks for the comment! I updated the tune with slightly better mixing!
Thank you for your supportive feedback on "Deluge". I thoroughly enjoyed the making of that one, so far from my folk roots!
Thanks so much for offering to sing on "Humans"! Hopefully the song will contribute its bit to resistance, healing, justice, and light. Can't wait to hear your contribution.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words! 😀
Back from vacation and catching up on thank yous! Belated thanks for the comment on "Happy Tune."
Thank you for listening to my grunge skirmish!
Hi again. Thank you for your compliments on 3 Times A Charm. It is a almost a shoe gazer isn't it!
Thank you for your comment on my skirmish song Almost Home. I am having so much fun doing the skirmishes today.
Congratulations on hitting Century Club! 😀
Thanks for your comment on my skirmish take (Storm winds), I had the exact same image in my head when I recorded it so it's nice that you saw the same thing 😀
Thanks for comments on my 12 string "Storm Winds" - No clawhammer, on this tune, but played with pick. More kind of bluegrass playing, I would say.
Thank you for your great comments on my whooping crane lyric. I will let you know when there's music for it 😇
Thanks for your listens and comments on my songs. "Fields of Hay" was written with my mother in mind. Interesting what you say about "River" coming from your subconscious. I like doing that, even though all sorts of strange things can emerge. I always think in the end our subconscious mind is our friend if we listen to what it tells us!
Thank you for your kind comments on 'There's Just Today.' Amanda sent over both guitar and uke tracks to choose from, and we both preferred the uke. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for your comment on Ripples and Ponds, and I'm so sorry I'm only getting back to you now. I was inspired, in part, by the lyricism of The Lady of the Harbor, so thank you for that. I can't wait to play catch up with all I've missed, and your songs are definitely on the list! Thank you again. <3
Thanks for the feedback on our song. I get your point, too. The funny helps a bit though, I think.
Thanks for your comment on my song Night. The vocals sounded quite loud to me, but the song was quite a bit outside my comfort zone, so I might well have imagined they sounded louder than the really did. Thanks for the lovely comments and the feedback. After FAWM I'll probably redo it.
Thank you so much for your warm comments and for trying several times to open the link. I appreciate your support very much.
Thank you so much man, you made my heart thump. My two grandfathers fought in Ireland in the 1916 Rising, the War of Indepenence and then the Irish Civil War in which one of them was executed- still tears the families apart. Such a minefield of emotion for me in your words about your ancestors...and I love your work too.
re:choose love/video. I am recording the video on my daughters old iPhone (she dropped it in the toilet, got her a new one -- but the camera still works!) and the audio on my normal pc setup.
I am using powerdirector 14 to merge the different video/audio streams into one output file. Like most stuff, powerdirector has mixed reviews, but it was inexpensive and seems to be OK for what I want to do with it. There is a little learning curve, but I got my two videos out without too much pain.
Thanks, and for the reminder too.
Thanks for you comment on my song. It's good to come back to FAWM, this last year seems to have passed so quickly, and yet so much has changed.
Thank you for your kind words about my song 'choose love'. Much appreciated. Happy FAWM!
Thanks! I really enjoyed writing this one for the super skirmish!
Thank you for trying and sorry for the trouble, I don't know why the link wasn't working, it seems to happen on many sites from time to time. It works for me at the moment. Hope it will work for you soon.
Have a nice weekend!
Hey skirmish host! In my post for super skirmish ss3a I included a link to a site that adjusts the time to local times. BUT...my link was customized for the start of my skirmish! So, if you used my post as a template and did not change the link your link will NOT reflect the correct time and you will confuse your skirmishers!!!.
If you used my post as a template you need to either 1) correct the link to the time of your skirmish or 2) provide a link to a general conversion site like this https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/
Sorry if my link caused any confusion!!
Hey scubed! Thank you for listening to Path of Least Resistance! Much appreciated x
Thank you muchly!
Thanks for the nice comment on my "Addiction" skirmish song. It's vivid and believable for a reason, thankfully not any more.
Thank you so much for your warm comment on my lyric.
I'll be in touch regarding our collaboration on something, will be wonderful to collaborate again.
Thanks for the kind words on Cul-De-Sac Nightmare!
Thanks for you words on my political satire song What a Lovely World We Live In. Sometimes looking at this nightmare in a different way works wonders 😀
Hi there, and welcome back! Thanks for your delicious comments on my coffee addiction song. Credit for "liquid cashmere" goes to my new chemex pour-over carafe... 😁 Have a great FAWM.
Hi sharon, thank you for listening to and commenting on my first two song. I am very pleased that you enjoyed them. Looking forward to your next offering.
Oh I would LOVE that! Let me know if I should add you as a collaborator or if you want to post new!
Ha! Thanks for your comment! Indeed that would be perfect! I was thinking stage musical!
So pleased you're here again, Sharon. Wishing you a magical FAWM. 😀 You have some lovely intended themes.
Hi Sharon, thank you for your warm welcome. Looking forward to hearing your beautiful songs and vocals. Hope we collaborate again.
I'm looking forward to your music! Have a great month of creative magic!
Thanks for the welcome.
Hi Sharon. Good to see you here, too. Happy FAWMing.

Hiya! Let's do this! FAWM!!!!
Hi Sharon, welcome back. Have a great FAWM!
Sharon, I wish you a wonderful FAWM !! I am always so happy to see you here!!
Hi Sharon, I'm glad to know you are here 😀
I LOVE your themes...I don't write lyrics, but my music and titles will certainly fit into those themes.
Hey hey hey!
Have a fabulous FAWM
Fellow Atlantan, fellow geezerwoman, fellow folkish one, fellow skirmisher... appreciating your themes (and very much so the FB thread you initiated, to shine a light on your hesitancy to FAWM). Adding even a little light to the world right now is one of the best things we can do. Have a great FAWM... see you out there! 😀
Hey good to see you.. thanks happy Fawming to you too 😀
I like your influences. Welcome back!
Well hi there!
