Artist Bio

I have had songs living inside of me in the form of both pain and joy for quite some time, but without a deadline, it has always felt like I'll get to writing them when I feel ready or when I get the perfect song or idea. This challenge forced me to organize my feelings and ideas into a cohesive story and to actually write the songs. It has been so exciting and healing, and I am deeply thankful to have the opportunity to share those songs with you!

For this challenge, I decided to try write a concept album that would be organized into an A side and a B side - ya know like the old days of records and tapes 😀 I think I would like to call the album Through My Eyes, because I felt the need and the desire to share this story from my side - a chance I hadn't felt I had before. And as I've been working with the songs, I feel like I like that title even more because of how the songs really delve into the idea of perspective - how it varies depending on time, place, who you are, who's influencing you, etc. I'm excited for you to hear what I've been working on!

The answer to your pondering about entering metal under the EDM party banner is YES 😀

Listening through your flows really well as is. I would say that some arrangements could potentially be amplified but you, my friend, have a talent for writing good songs. Very worthwhile.

I ummed and arred on this one but its not actualy in my 14. I do actually have 2 albums to do and this is the lead track on album 2. Personaly its a favourite but it was all to down to fit.

I dont always write from direct experience and certainly not always from current experience. However Digital image is true and how my relationship with my wife of 14 years started.

Thank you for suggesting I listen to your album from beginning to end. What a journey it took me on! It was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon 😃

Hi Sarah. Im just waking up in australia - will listen to your album in a few hours. Thx.

Hi Sarah, Check this out if you're interested in releasing your songs as an album.

Thanks for all the great feedback on my album! I really appreciate it. I love doing full album swaps. I'm a big fan of absorbing music in an album format, especially when there's a cohesive theme. Your way with melody certainly gives me some things to ruminate over. They're just so strong that it wouldn't take much arrangement wise to flesh everything out a little more which is something I'd love to be able to accomplish but I fear I'll always be a guitar player first and singer second. It is what it is and I'm overall happy-ish with my voice for the most part so I just deal with it.

Anyway just wanted to say thanks again and hope we can do the same next year!

I like the idea of your album too! I'm gonna do a full listen to yours so I can get a sense of the whole thing. If you have the time I'd love to hear your thoughts on mine as well.

You're welcome Sarah and I am honored to listen. You have a beautiful voice and putting together a connected set of songs is not easy. Looking forward to listening to side 2 in the next few days.
