Bio

My name is Lana, I'm a junior in high school. In the first grade, I started taking guitar lessons from my spanish teacher and have continued taking off and on throughout the years. I didn't really get into playing until I got into middle school, though, and I didn't write my first song until freshman year!

Thanks for the comment! I was thinking piano or guitar, but since I don't play piano, probably guitar.

You can! In fact, technically, the only thing you need is a drum beat with a kick on the first beat and a snare on the third beat. LFO bass and 140bpm are signatures but not rules. Even then, with most music production programs you should be able to do both. The only free one I know of and have experience with that you could definitely do it with is Linux Multimedia Studio, which has a layout resembling Fruity Loops. I've heard great things about Reaper but I've never used it so I don't know what it's capable of nor what it comes with. smile

As for me, I wish I could play guitar and sing well enough for my recordings to be as fluid as yours. All of my greatest recordings from high school like that are from impossible-to-replicate mistakes. My proudest being when my amp was dying and it fuzzed out at the most perfect times. I can't play guitar at all though so there's no way it's as good as I remember.

Great to see *you* back. I'm having a bit of trouble music-ating my songs this year, but maybe it'll all come rushing back towards the end.

I'll be back to check out your songs soon smile
