OK, I'm going to try to come up with something for "Wind of an Angels Wings." At first I was thinking I couldn't do it because it hits way to close to home. I lost my dad to cancer a little over two years ago. But I had my wife read the lyrics and she says I should try. So I will. I have a few other songs in the works right now but I'll try to work on it next week.

For some reason I can't look at "Wind of an Angels Wings" even though you put me as a collaborator. You might have to unlock it.

Hey thanks for the nice comments on my tunes! I'm really busy at the moment, but maybe we can work out a collaboration next week or something

  • @colgoo  1 day

Thanks for not getting upset with my suggestions. I have found that constructive criticism from other songwriters has helped me improve my songwriting immensely!

  • @krayzie003  1 day

Fixed the typo. That's what happens after 1am lol

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on what you got going on and see if we can do some moe songs together.

I got the demo for "Breaking Down" done and updated the song. I decided to use the original lyrics because I feel that they fit better with the overall idea. Hope you like it.

  • @krayzie003  2 days

I'll check out the change later. Haven't had a chance to work on it today yet. Hopefully later tonight I'll have some time.

Hi! Thanks for listening to my songs. I’d love to collaborate. What if I write something for Backroads?

  • @cleanshoes 4 days

Thank you so much! I don't have a whole lot of time for collabs right now, so I don't want to commit to anything, but I'll definitely keep an eye on the lyrics you're posting. If something seems like it would be a good fit I'll let you know!

@s7even Hope you like it 😀 I had an absolute blast putting this song together. It is by far my favorite I've been apart of during this whole experience. Thank you so much for letting me put music to your words!

  • @bru2 5 days

Awesome. I’ll hopefully have it done by tomorrow! 😀

  • @bru2 5 days

Hi @s7even Id like to put music an melody to your Beneath the Whiskey lyrics. Is anyone else working on it?

  • @colgoo  5 days

So, thank you for allowing me the intimacy of setting your lyrics to my styling!

I have learned a few things the past couple years of FAWM that might help you find more collaborations. To get more feedback, after a collab, reach out to those who commented on your lyrics via their soundboard and let them know music has been added.

Be proactive about commenting on other's songs. If you hear a musician who you admire, reach out to them and offer to collaborate, especially musicians who are new here, as well. They have fewer lyricists begging for music.

    Comment, comment, comment!

My first year, I tried making two helpful comments to every one that remarked on my songs. To get feedback, you have to give it. Especially reach out to other Fawmlings, people who live in our area (you can watch them perform live at the FAWMover party), and musicians who have done collabs with other lyricists. Most people here reciprocate on feedback, and then you'll get them reading your naked lyrics!

Thank you! It means a lot.

Awesome!!!! I’ll try to get a good recording. I am definitely not a high production FAWMer....maybe someday....but I really like your work.

Do you want to add me as a collaborator on “Praying on a Dream”, or have me post separately? I am fine, either way

Welcome to FAWM. Are you're having a good time here? I was wondering if you are looking for collabs, or do you play an instrument and just need to figure out the recording bit? (that was totally me my first FAWM!) I noticed you're local. Hope to meet up with you sometime soon!
