Shit, I am late to the party, but I'm trying to catch up. Nice to see all these awesome music folks doing what they love. This community is wonderful and inspirational. I can only hope to keep up.

I still have a bare-bones setup, same as last year . Laptop, monitors, mic with a shield, keyboard, and an electric guitar which may get some use this February.

This year's FAWM project will be an album idea that's been in my head for several months. I really want to make a space-themed, concept album. It's like an interstellar love story involving a member of a collective (like The Borg) and a signal that interrupts everything for that person. The member becomes fully self-aware and attempts to locate he origin of the signal....and that's all I've got so far.

It's not going too badly in cosmic terms, Mel. πŸ˜‰ I only have six lyrics up, but I'm not worried. To be honest, it's about four more than I expected to have at this point. Been a busy few weeks one way or the other.

    I hope all's well in Brugge. πŸ˜‰

Choosing between TNG and DS9 is really difficult for me. Like you, TNG wins out slightly, but there are some days I like DS9 better. DS9, as you said has so many good characters! I am so glad you mentioned Gul Dukat because he is one of the most likable "bad guys" in any TV show. Weyoun is amazing, as is all the characters played by Jeffrey Combs. Garak is great with his mysteriousness and flexible morality. O'Brien gets to be more than just the elevator operator he is in TNG. Who in life could you hate more than Kai Winn? Quark, Dax, Worf, Sisko, Kira, endless great characters! Except maybe Jake but you cant win with them all, he kind of suffered from the same problems Wesley did. And the story lines are so much darker, as you mentioned. DS9 was made after Gene Roddenberry died, so they were able to take Star Trek to places that he wouldn't let them go before.

Anyway sorry about that... I could talk about Star Trek endlessly. I will be checking out the rest of your fawm songs for sure.

If you want a giggle / be truly horrified by what I'm putting my vocal chords thru this FAWM, then Dr Sapient recommends listening to the chorus in this song:

Talk about finding things about your voice that you didn't know were possible! 😁
I did have to autotune it, just a *teensy* bit...

Thank you so much for taking a listen to so many of my tunes. You brave soul!
I love the idea of a church organ for the next country crossover one I try. Yes, there will be more of them before the month is out! 😁

No apology needed, I know not everyone has the kind of down time I have at work to reply to comments. Keep doing your thing and I'll keep listening.

    Mel,
It's really good to hear from your. Thanks so much for listening to everything. I have several more in the works, but I'm finding it hard to focus today. And thanks for the comments on my toys. Pink is the one that was in the plans for a very, very long time. The wait was worth it too.

If you are interested in my text to speech tools, email me and I can tell you about it. I actually want to re-write the application to make a bit more usable.
