Hi Roddy, thanks for comment on Accidental Elephants. So out of tune, i almost scrapped it...but it was a skirmish, after all

Thank you for your reply and editing your comment Roddy. I wasn't sure which of your songs was with one chord. Or are you working on it at the moment? I'd be very interested to listen.

Hey Roddy, thank you for your comment on my one chord piece. No, I don't agree that there was any cheating at all, I've checked evertything with John before creating my both piano pieces on the challenge. If you read the tread and my questions and his answers you'll see what the challenge was about: http://fawm.org/forums/thread/3053/
Only saying this because it was my task to make sure I'm doing the challenge. i know though that if you take literary the idea of one chord the melody has to be within the scale you have and nothing else and mine travels a lot but it is because it was "allowed". I'll listen to your take after I posted this comment. Thank you again for listening and commenting.

Cheers. It's a pretty cheap (£11!) instrument with a fairly harsh tone so rather than fight against it I embrace it. I think I'd be at home on a George Formby-style banjolele, but I've not seen one for sale for less than 80 quid.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree it definitely has that late night vibe. To be honest the keyboard was essentially midi (I played the chords and quantized/fixed any mistakes) but if I had more time to practice and were actually a piano player I probably would have taken the legit route and probably embellished a little more. The bass is a Rouge Violin Bass (one of the Hofner knockoffs) I don't usually use it but I really like how funky its sound can get. Thanks again for listening and commenting! I'll be sure to check your stuff out.

hey! I have indeed upgraded to Logic.. have had it about 2 months now so still learning how to use it, but its an amazing program and lots of fun, does all the things I wished garageband did. It does take some getting used to it though. I'm doing a course to learn it as I'm too lazy to learn it myself!
