Hi its me, Robin Marie. Feel free to enjoy, laugh, sob, or feel comforted somehow by listening to my music. For me its a very personal and emotional experience writing a song from the heart and I hope that some good will come out of sharing my songs with you. I wish I would have figured more out about the mysteries of life, people and God by now, but it looks like I still have a lot to learn. I'm just a girl that is trying to figure out life and perhaps try to make a little sense of it all. I believe that music can be a window to the soul. It has the power to bring down or lift up the human spirit. I'm learning to be thankful I am so thankful to God for giving me friends and family that encourage me along this way of life.
Recently I was lead by a series of events to focus on becoming a singer /songwriter. I have played piano and composed music for a long time. Since high school I was pursuing the dream of becoming a film composer. After I graduated from UCSB (with a BM in music) in 2007, I found myself with time to think about what music is really about. Classical music is exquisitely beautiful, but I felt its limits. A song can express through words what a person is feeling. I realized that this was the kind of music that I wanted to pursue, so I began to explore songwriting more. I took up the guitar in the last few months and have been trying out my new sound. Please feel free to post comments about what you think about the songs and what kind of songs you would like to hear in the future. I need your help to write better songs that you would like to hear.
