Bio

From Indianapolis, Indiana. Have been spending too much time lately "writing" noise/ambient things, not enough time writing "pop songs." Hoping FAWM will get me back in that groove.

Edit on 8 Feb: It has occurred to me that I pay quite a lot of attention to these on other people's profiles, so I may as well flesh mine out a bit in case anyone is indeed interested.

I've actually been doing FAWM the last three years (this is year four for me) but I've never joined the site until now. Like I said above, I've been in a rut of making noise/ambient music, and I felt that joining the site would force me to work on some other things/ enable me to interact with other people who are writing stuff too.

I'm 23 and a student.

Thanks for the comment. I started a forum discussion under Recordings about iPhone recordings. That song I recorded using studio.M, but I also used a Tascam iXZ which I got at Guitar Center. It lets you connect a mic or instrument chord to your iPhone.

hey just wanted to say thanks for your suggestions on Reptile Fortress. I like the idea of changing up the main riff, and I'm planning to add some more vocals too.

Hey thank you for your comment -- but I made a mistake when I posted that. The song you were listening to was actually #2, "I'm Not Not Very Concerned." The new one is rather different, as is the equipment. I have been posting some more details on the technical side of these recordings on my personal blog: http://blog.kenficara.com/2012/02/02/harmonitronica-geekout-the-hole-story/.

I won't be offended if, after hearing the new one for real, you want to add a followup comment. It's *really* different.... smile
