Artist Bio

Influences:   any well thought out composition or song

I have nothing to leave this world but a tune and a thought. Hopefully both will be original, but there are so many songs and so many ideas, how could I be the only one? Well that won't stop me. It will only make me try harder, dig deeper, rewrite, rethink and collaborate with others.
I live in Montreal - play piano, guitar. I use Cakewalk to compose and make simple recordings. I love making something from nothing. I love telling stories. I love it when someone's voice and style adds life to one of my compositions.

Thanks for your kind comments on Sweet Jazz Music. A lot of fun to do.
Really enjoyed your song to..good lyrics, interesting bridge and vocals!

  • @dewcatcher  Feb 27

Hello! I'd love to work with you more to create more what you had in mind. Unfortunately, I have fallen ill with strep throat these past two days and have no voice left to work with 😞 But we can work on the lyrics in the mean time as I recover?

  • @dewcatcher  Feb 23

https://soundcloud.com/felmelbel/hear... Here's my recording and lyrics! (You can find the lyrics in description) Let me know if you have any problems/want me to change anything!

  • @dewcatcher  Feb 22

Will do! I'm working on it today and should have the vocals for you by tonight.

  • @lia404 Feb 21

Hello and thank you for your comment on my XXI- The World song!
This is very embarrassing, though, because... I didn't totally understand what you meant. If you have any idea on how to improve it I'd be really happy to know more.
Thank you so much again 😀

  • @karismitchell  Feb 19

    Yes, please.

  • @dewcatcher  Feb 17

Yeah, if you could send me the melody line, that'd be great! I'll work on it this weekend and should have it be done early next week!

  • @crisp1  Feb 2017

    Sounds good to go!

  • @orinoco  Feb 2017

Thanks but I'm afraid I can't take any credit for Kicking at Birds - although I do agree it's excellent! It's entirely the work of @expendablefriend. If you're interested in some of our band stuff you can find it at http://jacquiandgeoff.bandcamp.com. Thanks for your interest!

  • @jacobeverettwallace  Feb 2017

Hey, it's not something I usually do but I could do it, depending on style and key. I'm willing to give whatever you have in mind a shot, but it'd probably have to wait closer to the end of the month based on my current commitments and babying my lost voice along. If you've got some ideas though, send me an email and I'll take a look.

  • @kovbleu  Feb 2017

Thank you so much for thinking of me. I've already committed to several collabs and I'd like to get a few other songs done that are just mine too, so I don't know if I'll be able to fit them in. If it looks like I get time closer to the end of the month I will reach out, but if you find someone else that is available now, by all means have them do it. I wouldn't want you to hold off for me in case I just don't have enough time to fit them in!!! 😀

  • @crisp1  Feb 2017

OK, how about "drift" instead of "stride"? To replace the wheelchair, I've come up with three ideas so far. 1) "I sit and brood about what's missing" or 2) "I sit and ponder what I'm missing". Will any of that work for you? Or if you prefer to be more explicit: 3) "I sit and ponder what the war took".

  • @crisp1  Feb 2017

Your revision of the chorus seems very nice to me. The revised first verse doesn't work as well for me as I envision him overlooking the river at a sort of popular viewing spot as he waits for her, so there wouldn't be a hall. We can change stride, though. As for wheelchair, I'll have to think about how to convey that without saying it. Can you give me the rest of my evening to work on it (as I write this, it's 5:15 p.m. where I am)?

  • @crisp1  Feb 2017

Thanks so much for the song! Totally caught me off guard. I'm in Eastern Europe right now so I've just woken up and seen that you wrote it. I don't know how you turned it around so fast! My name is Doug Haberman. Thanks again for putting I've Got to Move On to music! Nice job.

  • @michaelepic Feb 2017

Hey man! That was pretty cool that you did that! It surprised me! Email me at apexigod@comcast.net and we'll hash it out! I'm flattered that you decided to take on a song I wrote! Thank you!

  • @factorytale Feb 2017

just download it. can't you do that?

  • @kovbleu  Feb 2017

Thank you so much for your really nice comment on "I Will." I really appreciate you listening to it!!

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 2017

Thanks for taking the time to listen to 'What if you died today?' I'm really glad you liked it! Enjoy that drink!

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2017

Well, that's a good point. I can sing. I also can come up with melody and harmony, like I do in my songs. However, being anything less than obvious with words is not my strong suit. Additionally, how people place their vocals is amazing to me. Often times, when people put vocals on,my songs, I am usually surprised and intrigued by their choices...in a very good way many times because it is often transformative.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2017

A zong is a song that has no comments. But, if you want anyone to see your question or comment, either post it on their page or use the @ sign before their name. Good question. I had them before, as have many others. Welcome! I hope that you are having a nice experience. I love it.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2017

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I don't have any vocal anything. I just do music. Ideas?

  • @rbmarty000 Feb 2017

    What is Zong?

  • @rbmarty000 Feb 2017

I have a "Gypsy King" kinda song that could use some lyrics up for the taking..

Welcome to FAWM! Have a great February!
Were you asking about collaborating in general or me specifically? I love collaborating although it's always a great challenge (since I'm still rather a beginner musician).

  • @vikkiflawith  Jan 2017

Welcome to FAWM. The community here is amazingly friendly, encouraging and inspiring! You're starting out well, just connecting with folks on FB and here. Can't wait to see/hear some of your stories 😀
