Bio

Lost in the vacuum of suburban sunshine
Caught in the boredom of cul-de-sac blues
Welcoming evening under a streetlight
Wasting the orange light of late afternoon

If she wanted, she would
But she didn't
Why she won't, she won't say out loud
Blame the raindrops huddled together,
Blame it on the nature of clouds.

Out in the garden the snail moves so slowly
Up in the sky: the robin flies free
Catching the white on the wind while it's blowing
Making a wish on a dandelion seed.

He lies on the grass and he wonders in awe
If the trees in the yard are a hundred feet tall,
Can he climb to the top and jump in the sky,
And fall in a cloud and go for a ride?
