Bio

My name is T.C. (Tom) Elliott. I am married to a wonderful woman (to whom I've written a few songs) and am a father of two wonderful girls. I earned my Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do on June 19, 2009.

The acoustic duo with my friend Travis called Melancholy Trousers is now a band. So I have obligations there as well during the FAWM challenge.

    Items:
    * Congrats on another fawm win plus!
    * Should we just go ahead and plan to collaborate during 50/90 now? Apparently, this whole "songwriting" fad is quite addicting.
    * Sorry I killed the morphing song thread. I did go overboard.
    * I'm definitely checking out your song a week challenge, I'll check the blog from home, go TCE!
  •  devin 1 week ago
You've been mentioned (honorably) in a song!

    TC,
Winner and not a single collaboration. You kick butt. In fact, you can probably kick my green belt butt. Congrats on the black belt!
    Cheers! MLB

    TC,
Thanks very much for the comments. Glad you liked the jangle. Much appreciated.
  •  Fine Excuses 2 weeks ago
Thanks for stopping by to drop a comment on 'Yes', mighty kind of you! I would wish you luck with the last four days, but it looks like you can put your feet up already!
  •  sapient network 2 weeks ago
Hey, thanks for the comment on "Yes". Oddly enough my throat is absolutely fine. If you listen to what I'm doing this year I have invested a bit of time and energy in, um, "going for it". And I've found that as long as you focus on the shape of each word it all comes out quite nicely wink
  •  John Crossman 2 weeks ago
Hiya TC. I'll be on the morphing song, probably tomorrow. Without giving any spoilers, Helen's version to me doesn't sound too much like Helen, so we'll see what happens.

    One more to go, dude!!
  •  marklberry 3 weeks ago
    TC,
Billy Sea added a new version of the HelenNancTC...
Getting a million laughs out of this.
    Cheers! MLB

Just have to ask.... Where do you work that you have skunks, raccoons, etc in your building? I've just gotta know or it will be all I can think about and I won't get a single other song done....Well it's as good an excuse as any for writers block wink
  • Lee James McAboy 3 weeks ago
    Hi Tom,

It's a pleasure to meet you on FAWM. Good luck and have fun making up (opps - composing) songs wink

Thanks for the encouragement on the forum boards. I guess I just get into these panic slumps. I love the song titles and lyrics of your songs, and you have a very good voice for acoustic music.
  •  marklberry 3 weeks ago
p.s. I pulled to collaboration tag so you don't get blamed for "HeleNanTC" smile I don't want to drag down your song creditability rating with my mess.
    Cheers! MLB

I know it's six days after you left the message on my wall, but yeah I do think I am onto something by saying everything is an influence. I really like the "gone shopping" song by the way you have a really stellar voice. I look forward to hearing more from you.

I dug your "unplugged" cover tune...nice!

And you've got a posse following you on ANOTHER music site too? You two-timing sly dog... wink
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Let's do both -- a progression based bit for the vocals, and a rhythm based bit for a jam section.
  •  Mal 1 month ago
TC Elliott! I have finally learnt to spell your name with all the Ls and Ts in place. tongue

Want to go for a full-on collab this year, both of us doing music and lyrics? I'll take the bass and drums, you take the guitars, and we'll make us a "classic rock" masterpiece. big_smile
