Thanks for listening, and doubly for the introduction to Pez. Very cool stuff!

Hey man, thanks a lot for taking the time to compress the song. The levels are definitely better, but I think since you were working with a file that was already compressed and normalized by 6db, it is a bit too distorted. I will go back to the tracks and remix with your suggestions in mind, hopefully next week.

An interesting note is that on yours, I could hear the mistakes on the bass more clearly and I wonder if I unconsciouslymixed it low because I hadn't had time to clean it up yet.

I've heard that I generally mix the drums too loud before. I started out as a drummer so maybe that's why. It's a very fine line to me, but I usually like the bass and drums pretty dominant, and then it's just a matter of getting the guitars and vocals to cut through with eq more than volume.

But I really appreciate your input. That's one thing that I like so much about this place. It brings us out of the basement and we get to see how other folks do it.

Thanks for your suggestions on my song, Weapons of Mass Dumbass. I agree with you on the bass and overall volume. Unfortunatley, I haven't found time to tweak any of my submissions yet.

I like both of your songs here. Bank Assault has a hop, skip, and go naked feel, and Meditation really is that. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tip on meditation music, @pifie. smile

I'm going to try it as soon as I get home!

Thanks for the comment on Ecclesiastes 12:1-7. In other translations (like the Good News Bible and Contemporary English Version), the passage is considerably less poetic and more blunt about how miserable it is to get old. At any rate, Ecclesiastes (as well as Proverbs and Song of Songs) is historically attributed to King Solomon, who likely would have been more poetic than other authors of various books coming from more humble backgrounds.

Thanks for your input on *30046. Glad you liked the bass. smile I was thinking about adding more melody to it in the future if I ever decide to re-tool it with a voice actor.

Thank you for your comment. Yeah, I guess that the Metallica and Slayer influences can be heard in my songs. They're some of the first bands I started to listen when I was younger. And the line between old school death metal and thrash metal can be thin.

You should give me one of those guitars! Don't even think about it, just send it on over.

That's exactly what I'm suggesting. Start fixing up those guitars now so you're ready in Feb.!

@johncrossman, I will try my best, ... if you were asking if I was going to do some music tongue
