Old dude with a few guitars, mandolin, harmonicas, bass, baritone uke, and various other instrumentation... let the 'geezer rock' begin!
EDIT: New additions to my stable are a cheap eBay guitar, an Ibanez Mikro Bass, and an Artiphon midi controller. This'll be fun!

ANOTHER EDIT: I've been away from recording for so long that I've sort of forgotten how to use my equipment anymore. I'm so frustrated that getting a good clean recording is proving to be elusive. I hope I can figure it out.

Thanks for your comments on Brighter! I've been thinking a lot about what makes lyrics singable with and without rhyme. I think the important part is more about phrasing and meter--keeping the line lengths similar and using new meters to create dramatic effects. I think if the music has lots of empty space without words you can get away with a lot more lyrically, it's as if the listener fills in the empty space with a rhyme you didn't write.

Thanks for the feedback on my new song. It was one of those songs where I catch the creative impulse that could be a Facebook rant and make it the song it wants to be 😝

Thanks for your comment on "I'm a Songwriter" - I agree it needed harmonies at points and in the chorus. But with a translation deadline to meet, it was either this one take or none 😉
