Sounds like some low down dirty dog blues to me - "blue eyed" blues or not!! :-) Your voice is *perfect* for this and that guitar riff is hypnotic. The chorus is my favourite part - kinda reminds me of an old field holler or something!! Great collab, folks!

This is such a tight and evocative lyric. Classic. I love the blues feel here. The repetition of "a busy bee" is *so* spot-on, sounding busy and bee-like!

LOVE it. The vocals and guitar are a perfect match. Love the lyric of the "Cypress tree." I agree with all the other comments--such a perfect blues song, and a great blues singer to boot!

I like this lyric, especially the "dust never settles, cause I'm always where the wind blows" hook. I can relate to this in many ways, and I constantly feel like I'm in a place where the dust will never settle, which holds me back from being able to grow roots and find contentment. I feel some angst and pain in these lines, and a touch of sadness. Definitely let me know if you demo this - I'm interested in seeing where this goes... nice work!

hi @sunclipse ! so far doing ok :) we are eclectic homeschoolers (some structure, some unschooling)...we started out fully structured & realized quickly that it just wasnt going to work for my daughter...her learning styles/levels are all over the map...when we stopped trying to put ourselves in the same box as everyone else, we were so much more relaxed...

@errol, @petra777... @swampjaw has it right. There are plentiful beds, but it's kinda roughin' it. Don't plan on a tremendous amount of sleep. And FAWMers seem to snore at a higher rate than normal humans. But there are loads of spots for a good nap. FWIW, I remember the awesome times a lot more than the lack of sleep.

@petra777 re-classifying would probably be helpful for some people, but I tend to just be around kids a lot because of the communities I'm involved with (and because kids tend to be naturally attracted to me for some reason, most likely because it's readily apparent that I'm a big goof) - so I need to be writing songs for that audience. :)

@petra777 I saw this thread, and while trying to conjure up some ideas to contribute...I ended up with a song from one of the titles you listed. Is it wrong to post it? Would I be stepping on your toes? I'll hold off on posting it. In the meantime: If you want to write about isolation, I find that is the easiest on your list if you start just by writing all the things you can relate to that topic (Hmm, like a word cloud I suppose). Anyway, then branching out from them with descriptive words and then using the senses - That can/might open up a few ideas? ie: Isolation - Straight Jacket - suffocating - restricting - white - canvas - bound - disoriented - weighted down - alone - separated - cold - etc etc.. And then doing it again for something else you can relate to Isolation..until you have a wide selection and can begin piecing even a line or two together to start from.. Just an idea.
