SMASHY CLAW IS MAKING A CD! If you enjoy any of the weird songs I post this FAWM, please consider going over to http://www.tinyurl.com/smashycd and checking out the campaign to fund our debut album. The CD will contain a bunch of songs from last year's FAWM.

Hi. I'm Austin, I write stuff. Last year's FAWM was pretty much the best musical experience I've ever had. I'm sure in contrast, this year will be an utter failure. Please do enjoy my hideous nose-dive into awfulness.

The band Smashy Claw is made up of Austin Aeschliman (@oddaustin) and Nathan Long (@jimbozinoh). Both will be completing two separate FAWM challenges in order to amass a veritable slop bucket worth of potentially awful new material. Let’s all think of it as a competition to the death. May the best songwriter slaughter the lesser one!

You know I haven't spent a heck of a lot of time with ezDrummer, but I've found it's easy to go in blind and start using it like a 10 pound club, which I'm happy to say is just plain fun, especially with the over the top kid songs... no end to that in sight

Thanks for your comment. I agree that it could use a denser arrangement, but I'm treating these songs as scratch tracks for future mixes. So hopefully one day!

Haha, thanks for the feedback. And yeah, my friends like to tease on my mumbley vocals. I usually suck at vocals when I first write a song anyway, I got to practice the song a lot to get the notes all down and to be able to sing it clearly. So any suggestions on how to work on this is very encouraged. If not, then I'll keep working on it

Regarding my music not being available: very few people outside of a close circle of critics who eat all my food and take up my time (oh wait, we calls those "friends" don't we?) have heard much of it... I'm actually hoping that will change very soon, though! Hopefully with this FAWM session!
As for us being 2/3 the same person, does that count for two out of every three songs we write belonging to each other? because I'll tell you right now, that would make my February a LOT easier
