Rendering my 14th track now so it's time to finally write a decent FAWM bio. Hi, I'm Tom from Amsterdam I go by the artist name of Martinus (my christian name) since it just sounds cooler I guess. I make music with Ableton Live Suite and a butt load of plugins I have collected throughout the years. I've been composing for about 4 years (?) now and consider myself to be fairly good at it 😀.

My "main" profession is being a dancer, I did a major in that in Amsterdam. Danced around in a theater but now actually I focus more on making music. I make a few pennies writing music for theater, mainly for dance pieces. Which is fun and allows me to find a bit of a crossover between my two disciplines. I also sing on occasion and you will find my voice sprinkled throughout my tracks.

This is my first FAWM and I am really loving the community and supporting other artist plowing their way through writing songs. Thanks to everyone leaving me sweet feedback on my tracks it's a great motivation to push through in this overly busy February!

Thanks again -- the Prophet 08 is an amazing synth -- although did you see the REV2 that DSI is putting out in the near future? 😁 I think I'd wait for that if I were you!

LOL! Your comment had me crying from laughter! I LOVE Nile Rodgers so much! I guess it's kind of obvious. Thanks for checking out Feel This Love (Again and Again).

  • @cblack  Feb 4

Glad you liked it! I've gotten a few comments now saying my stuff sounds like video game music. That's honestly an avenue I'd never really considered exploring - it just sort of happened. But it's definitely a step in the right direction. 😀

Actually yes! Oddly usually I have the. worst. fear. of. flying. ever, which means tears and sometimes holding the hands of strangers (don't judge me!) but on this flight I was calm and happy! 😀 Singing airplane!

Thanks for noticing, I'm tired too so I didn't even think of the track applying to the challange. Also thanks for your nice words!

  • @notenkraker Feb 1

@nikke88 still don't have a clue what the actual thing is that brings up the nostalgia, the drums maybe? No idea but I absolutely love it!

  • @notenkraker Feb 1

@jcuempire that for sure was ment to be a compliment!!!

  • @jcuempire  Feb 1
