I'm Geneva,

I found the fawm website on the last week of February last year and started writing and have never stopped. They say write what you know so that's what I wrote but I've learned alot since then thanks to the great feedback I've gotten on the boards of 4 writing sites I participate in.

I think I've come a long way, and still learning but I do put in my time. I wrote lyrics for the 50/90 challenge last year and found some incredible composers on this site and hope to do it again.

I only do lyrics right now, I've thought about getting a microphone but am not that brave----yet! I think it will come.

I've got a number of rewrites I'm working on from over the winter. I'll likely start off fawm finishing a few of those along with writing new stuff.

Please feel free to critique my lyrics and let me know if something sounds odd or doean't make sence so I can improve my writing. I'm forever rewriting these days.

I am always seeking collabs, so if anything I write fits or suits your style, please feel free and mark as collab. I post at other sites and if one of these songs finds a co-write there I will post a lock on it, otherwise, feel free.

Anyway, I'm excited!

I'm actually away until March 4, so I don't know what the 'rules' are on posting collabs after that date--but I'd love to have a go at "Lyin' Ahead Somewhere" if you're up for it. I am absolutely stunned that you've turned out so many interesting lyrics in such a short time, congrats!

Wow! 51 songs! Amazing!!! So happy for you! I will take a look at your lyrics. Always love reading lyrics. I do love collaborating as well but my style is not for everyone I'm afraid. I mostly compose gentle music for the piano/voice and piano and it is not the way the industry is going so I don't know whether my style would suit your lyrics but I will read your work with a great interest

I'm afraid there is only one acapella song on FAWM with my voice, the rest is someone else I always put a credit to everyone singing/playing/writing lyrics but sometimes people think it was me singing. I'm afraid that's not the case and for a very simple reason - my voice is not good

Hi Geneva, this years FAWM has been a disaster for me so far. I had all of these plans with the music this month, then suddenly a family emergency, and I had to stop. I'm going to get going here in another week but I doubt I'll be able to catch up in the month of FAWM. That said, I do this music stuff year round anyway, and if you want me to try some of these in March, I'd really like to do that? Also, I really like what we did last summer. Not perfect but it was pretty good. Not sure which was my favorite but I lean towards the Willow Weeps. Yeah, February is shot but after that I should be...back.
