Influences: At the moment Ed Sheeran, Wilder Adkins, Katey Laurel, Justin Roth, Sarah Jarosz and Stephen Martin.
Is it possible this is FAWM#10? Well, yes if you count the first year where I was totally inactive and stayed on the sidelines. But yes, it should count because I watched and saw it could be done and saw how it could be done through inspiration, collaboration and a little bit of perspiration.
I currently live in Uxbridge, Mass. I have watched as the communities around me on the South Shore, online here at FAWM and now Central Mass have grown and prospered through collaboration and mutual support. What works online works in the world at large also.
I've been active in music endeavors since the late 70's, into the early and mid 1980's where I was a coffeehouse manager for three years, slowing down after 1990 for about 15 or so years and then reviving myself and staying pretty active for the past 10 years. I am primarily an acoustic guitar-based songwriter who is trying to learn to sing a little better. Music is my primary means of self-expression.
I am about to release my first full-length album of 11 songs to be titled Firefly In a Jar of Emotion. About half of those songs were borne in FAWM and four others came from 50/90.So this is where I come to write, to be inspired and to listen, listen, listen.
Mass FAWM folks: This year's Bloc 11 FAWM over party will be this Sunday March 19th from 2-5pm. Bloc 11 is at 11 Bow Street in Somerville in Union Square. I will call in the next couple days to make a reservation for 8-10 persons. They will want to us to buy food so bring your appetites.

Thanks for listening and your comments! Glad you liked Anti-Valentine. (gently angry - excellent comment!) 😀
Thanks for all you kind comments and encouragement, Mike. I'll be back to listen in March!
Hi there, the challenge is to make the music as hard to listen to as possible. Thanks for sticking with it.
Thanks for listening. Yes, the Catbird was great, I don't get to go there often, my Saturdays are often busy with the kids. You could have heard most of these FAWM songs...I needed a cheat sheet, but I wanted to sing my new ones! Maybe I"ll catch up with you at some open mic. Thanks again for the listens 😀
Thx for listening and the words.
Just listened to "Abyss" ... beautifully done. Thank-you! <3 😀
Hi Mike 😀 Amanda here. Yes, it's fine for you to sing Cat Enigma at an open mic 😀 I'll email you 😀
Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving such a lovely comment!
Hey Mike -- If you'd like to write some music for "The Abyss", you're welcome to! 😀
Thank you for listening to "Winding Path" and for your kind comment. Sibelius First is the cheaper pared-down version of Sibelius created by Avid. I don't know what the complete and far more expensive version could have extra, because I've never noticed anything missing. It comes with a good tutorial, and any further questions can usually be answered by YouTube videos made by various helpful people.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment on my last song. You may have something there. I'll let the song marinate and come back to it with those kinds of thoughts in mind . 😀 You're about to get your fawm-win(gs), go Mike!
Thank you for your feedback on "Are you out there?"
Thanks for your lovely comments, Mike! The first couple of episodes are up. They were a beast to create. I doubt we'll get through 14 but we'll be happy with what we get!
Thanks Mike for your comment. You should do the classical guitar adaptation that would be cool. Look forward to hearing it.
Thank you, Michael, for your encouragement. I do plan on putting demos up, but it usually takes me so stinkin' long, and I'm lovin' these stretching exercises we call skirmishes. The brain expansion is good for all the rest of me as well. Plus, it's fun to listen to everyone else.
Hi Mike 😀 Thank you so so much for the lovely demo of 'Cats Enigma' - I love it 😀
Hi Mike 😀 Yes, you are very welcome to collab on 'Cat Enigma' 😀 Thank you so much for asking 😀
I'll add you know to the song post 😀
Thanks for your comment on my song, it probably is more freeform poetry than anything. I do like narrative songs, but seem to write less and less.
I can't wait to get these audio dramas up. It's a bit more time consuming than I thought but their coming along. Thanks for listening, Mike.
Thanks for listening to my song "Nightmare of a Dream", I appreciate it!
Hi Mike, you're off to a great start. Happy Fawming!
Thanks for the comment!
I guess I was browsing for my inspiration. 😁
Oh, I haven't cut my hair. That's an old photo from... what 10 years ago?! Sheesh.
Thank you for your kind comment on 'To dance with you!' I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's my first FAWM effort. I've just been listening to your tunage, nice work! Happy FAWM 😀
Hey, Mike! Happy FAWMing!
Hey! Thanks for the kind words.... I wish you a lovely and prolific FAWM! 😀
G'mornin'! Let's get this thing started. FAWM it up!
Hi Mike, great seeing you as well 😀
Hi Mike! You too! Can't wait to hear your 2017 offerings.
Hi Mike! I'm ready to start listening!
I await your musical creations! I always enjoy your art Michael!!
Good to see you'll be at it again! I'M WATCHING YOU.
Thanks for stopping by my soundboard. Looking forward to hearing your songs!
Why hello there. So nice to be back
Mike! Recently, I came across the loveliest note that you wrote me and sent along with your CD. It made me smile. Looking forward to hearing more of you, my friend.
Hi, Mike - here we are again for another round.Cheers!
Hey Mike, good to see you and, shortly, hear you!
