Thanks so much for listening and for your kind words. I just listened to a few of your songs...WOW! It has a subtle kind of power. Really beautiful. smile
  •  quigboto 2 months ago
Thanks for coming over and giving "Farther to Fall" a listen. And thank you for the comment!
  • orbh 2 months ago
    Thank you for your comment.

  •  ange 2 months ago
Hey, thanks for the sweet words on my songs smile "imagining Lily Allen singing Big Spender in a weird revival of Fiddler on the Roof" ... cracked me up...thanks smile
  •  petemurphy 2 months ago
Hi Mike, I've been meaning to get in touch and say hi. I'll check out some of your songs soon. I just wanted to ask - I saw the previous picture you had as you album artwork a couple of weeks ago, and I was just wondering who the artist was. It reminded me a little of the work that one of my closest friends does, although it was a little lighter in colour than her work. Her name is Suzanne Cooper Morris. Anyway, just wanted to ask. Cheers, Pete.
  •  fineexcuses 2 months ago
Cheers for the comment on 'Hangman', Mike! Looks like you had a nicely successful FAWM.
  • hoboghost 2 months ago
haha nice zing, Mike. I still need to listen to your stuff.
  •  downburst 2 months ago
Thanks for the comments on my songs... and look at all yours! More to listen to--I'd only hear "Blue Crayon" up till now.
  •  adforperu 2 months ago
Nearly got the win sir, congrats! It seems we've ran out of time on the piano and vocal front... although, I'm planning on writing my last song tomorrow .. technically it's FAWM, not FAWARM, so I could get your vocals and perhaps some ivory-twinkling later in the week?
  • temily 3 months ago
Thanks for the comment on You Said, Mike smile I appreciate the feedback.
  •  fineexcuses 3 months ago
Thanks for the kind comment, Mike! Been rather enjoying Another Beginning and Pass the Blame from your crop this year. 6 days left...
  •  anonymouse 3 months ago
though I think I should note that the second repeat of blue you, adds the bit about the blue rainbow which is suggestive, and certainly different from a simple repeat. But I don't know. That's just the way I felt.
  •  adforperu 3 months ago
Excellent, I'll try get something across sooner rather than later
  •  adforperu 3 months ago
Mr Debenham.. what's the odds on borrowing you for a little bit o' piano? And maybe some vocals too? That would be swell
  • scottlake 3 months ago
I saw a message you left for Tim inquiring about a pedal steel. I don't have one, but depending on how much reverb you add, you can actually make the pedal steel in a General Midi sound font sound passable for certain types of effects. You can't really do licks per se, but you can get it to sound like what I've got here on this cover of Beck's "the Golden Age": http://rockstarnot.rekkerd.org/songs/newer/rockstar_not%20-%20The%20Golden%20Age%202%20minute%20cover.mp3

I was thinking Greg Brown myself on "Get Down to It" but I'll take Marc Cohn in a heartbeat. Thanks for the comments Mike.
  •  echovoodoo 3 months ago
I have reached that point where I no longer have the space or the cash for more gear, so an actual guitar is likely out of the question. I did have a start at learning to play my Dad's guitar many years ago; not sure I want to go through the callous-forming process again. But if you want to start a collection for me or even mail me one, I promise to give it a go. big_smile
  •  oddbod 3 months ago
Sorry Mike, as much as I'd love to own a pedal steel, I'm afraid I don't have one.
  • lyrratic 3 months ago
Thanks for the comment! I fixed the audio, hopefully it works now. x]
  •  mikegtz 3 months ago
Listening to your song Sally My Love with Phil Norman from the FAWMcast-must have been last year, not this year. It's a really enjoyable song and Phil is as good a collaborator as one could ever wish for here.
  • eyeseaewe 3 months ago
Thank eweee for the equally kind words! I shall definitely let you know when I've sorted the demos out, really appreciate the feedback!
  •  songsville 3 months ago

  •  echovoodoo 3 months ago
Good to see you as well, Mike! Yeah, droughts suck, but FAWM has managed to kick-start me again.
  •  songsville 3 months ago
Nice bricks, BTW ... or is it parquet?
  • psyt 3 months ago
You're a bit confused, Mike: The keyboard bought *me* dinner. tongue
  • psyt 3 months ago
Hi Mike, long time no see.
Good luck finding the time to grab those ideas out of thin air this year. smile
  •  autoclamp 3 months ago
My god, I've been wrong all along. Is it too late to become a Happy Little Vegemite?
  •  elainedimasi 3 months ago
Mike, I'm sure nobody will be disappointed with what you may post, certainly I hope *you* won't! Welcome to this year!
  • thedustcollector 3 months ago
Well it was excellent fun to do smile. You free for another collab this round?
  • scottlake 3 months ago
Looks like your 2012 February will be like mine.
  • jharms 4 months ago
Arse-fractional it is! Good to see you here Mike, looking forward to your fawmput!
  •  oddbod 4 months ago
Hi Mike, as always, great to see you here.
A collab - one day it might actually happen! So if you have any spare lyrics lying around the place you want to chuck my way, go right ahead.
  • thedustcollector 4 months ago
DEBENHAM. I still listen to your music repeatedly at work. HUZZAH, YOU'RE HERE!
  •  autoclamp 4 months ago
All I really want is the search team's phone back. In a moment of cheapness, I decided not to purchase the anti-drop-bear protection plan. While we're on the topic, I tried Vegemite for the first time this summer. I now recognize masochism as part of the Australian national character.
  •  ericdistad 4 months ago
    Welcome back Mike!
  •  chasingandromeda 4 months ago
Good to see you back! Looking forward to your tasty FAWM delights.
  •  autoclamp 4 months ago
Very good. If the search team I sent ruins any of your grass or hedges, please forward me the bill. And kindly let them know they can come home now; they've stopped answering their phone.
  •  adforperu 4 months ago
Ha, well there you go! I'm hopefully going to Sweden sometime in the next couple of years I reckon.. glad you're here again anyway sir, looking forward to your output
  •  philnorman 4 months ago
    Yes.
  •  autoclamp 4 months ago
Debenwatch, day one-- still no sign of the man from Melbourne. Optimism remains high.
  • scottlake 4 months ago
Mike, wondering if you are up for collabs this year? I will have to add vox, perhaps like 'Eye for an Eye' from a couple years back?
  •  adforperu 4 months ago
Hello sir, hope you enjoyed Finland and hope you're about for some FAWMage this year
