I'm aiming to get together an EP worth of Grimm Brothers inspired songs, after which who knows! I'd love to do a bunch of collabs! Ping me if you'd be keen 😀

Hey - I've been lurking in the background, your incredible Grimm-inspired tunes! They're always well thought-out, written, and executed 😀

I'd be honored if you would collab with me on this skirmish tale I've been toying with. I'll understand if you don't, with the collab with @debs and only a week left!

It's called Dead-Eye Annie, and I'm open to the possibilities at this point.

Thanks for reading, and keep on rocking what you do!

  • @popmythology  Feb 23

Oooh~~ just happened to notice Debs' message below! A @debs and @meriamber would be... divine.

  • @debs  Feb 22

Hi Meri! I know the schedule's getting tight with just a week left, but would totally love to collab on something 😀

  • @izaakalexander  Feb 22

Funny you mentioned coming to Oz, Meri! I actually spent my last FAWM in Adelaide, and I love it down there. All I had to work with was a mandolin, though. I'm making up for it now. Thanks for listening and commenting on my music as well. This month has snuck away from me but if you do the 50/90 I'd be happy to try a collab then... and there's always FAWM 2018! 😀

  • @errol Feb 21

Gosh. Seriously, I have no idea how to comment on your songs now. They are amazing! 😁 And then my comment was so lack luster. Blargh. I wonder if I can edit my comments so I can give a more detailed account.

  • @stevenwesleyguiles  Feb 21

Sent you an email, yo! 😀

  • @stevenwesleyguiles  Feb 20

    Still down for collab! 😀

  • @stevenwesleyguiles  Feb 20

Meri, your melodies are always SO COOL. And you just deliver with such pluck and attitude. Each part of this song is great. Cool production too. Rockin'!

  • @stevenwesleyguiles  Feb 20

ugh - typed the same thing three things.

  • @kovbleu  Feb 19

Congrats on making your EP goal!! You've got 5 awesome songs here. 😀

  • @timfatchen  Feb 14

4 days!!! I need my Grimmfix!

  • @wickedmessenger1  Feb 10

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on two of my songs. Praise from someone of your incredible talents means a lot to me.

  • @alphanerg Feb 10

Do androids dream of electric beeps? Do they dream at all? Are they capable of dreaming? Do you need to be a conscious self aware person to dream? How would we ever know? If an android tells you it had a dream, do you believe it/him/her? They will be programmed to act as human as possible, so it could just be lying to seem more human. Could someone be an android and not even know it?

No answers yet, only questions. Thanks for commenting! 😀

  • @odilongreen  Feb 9

Should you still be interested, I've finished adding the music & vocals to Amanda's "Battle Lord of Ebonfyre": http://fawm.org/songs/65894/

  • @sheamiejay  Feb 7

Thanks for the kind words, Meri! The nuts pun was not intended.

  • @robinh  Feb 7

Hi Meri, it's Robin from Bedford Level Experiment, I'm glad to find you here, fellow geek rocker 😀

  • @timfatchen  Feb 7

OK: " two parts separate...joyful jig tells the story...poem is more my modern day look". That makes sense too. But theatrically, I still think an alternation would have more impact. Like being hit with the serious after each short jig. Repeated short jabs rather than one long putting down? My $0.000007c (a la Spotify 😁 )

  • @mikegtz  Feb 7

Meri, did we do a collab before? If not, let's try one.

  • @kovbleu  Feb 5

Hey, thanks for recommending "Why Are You Lonely?" In that forum thread! You're so sweet. ☺

  • @toms  Feb 4

ABBA 2018. Who would have thought?

  • @seanbrennan  Feb 4

Meri, thanks for stopping by and listening to a couple of my tunes, and for the kind words that followed!

I'm curious about the rest of your EP. What other tales do you have queued up for song treatment?

  • @jacobeverettwallace  Feb 4

Thanks for all the great comments on my songs! 😀

  • @timfatchen  Feb 4

Crazy creepy cutting off heels and toes too. Sometimes I despair of humanity. @featheredape wrote a terrifying rock song "Three Blind Mice" two-three years ago which attacked the same problem.

  • @timfatchen  Feb 4

Heyhey!~ Crazy creepy? Moi? You mean you DIDN"T know all this when you wrote "saved by murder"? Ah well, score 10/10 for yourpsychological and hugely intuitive insight and 1/10 for bible study!

  • @timfatchen  Feb 4

Mark of Cain. Quick version, TJF Authorized. Cain son of Adam & Eve killed his younger brother Abel in a fit of jealous rage. Thus inheriting the world by murder. Biblically, we are all Children of Cain, and we carry the same mark, of murderers. The fact that we are here and other bloodlines are not is proof we're descended from survivors, ie killers. Hence "saved by murder" is apposite, indeed true, and cuts deep. If you want an evolutionary biology version of the tale, Desmond Morris "Naked Ape" and Robert Ardrey "The Territorial Imperative" are dated but still good!

  • @musicsongwriter Feb 2

Thank you Meri for your kind comment on my lyric.

  • @popmythology  Feb 2

Hey, Meri! Long time no message! So glad you're back this year. I see, as expected, that you've got another fun theme in mind. Well, bring 'em on! And thanks for the comment on "Alternative Facts"!

  • @kovbleu  Feb 2

Thanks for listening to "It's Not Me" - I really appreciate your kind comment.

  • @leslie  Feb 2

Cryptic is the cloak I wear, hiding the truth in plain sight. Thanks for commenting! I've definitely got some of my Tori-influence showing.

  • @cts  Feb 2

I cannot believe I hadn't stopped by to say hello yet. Well, let me correct that inequity right now...HELLOOOOOOOO!

  • @andygetch  Feb 1

    Hi Meri!

  • @stevenwesleyguiles  Feb 1

Howdy, sister! Geek collab at some point would be peachy! 😀

  • @nicetrip  Feb 1

Nice music, looking forward for new songs this month!

  • @natrin Jan 31

    Welcome back!

  • @metalfoot  Jan 31

You have me playing (and losing) Minesweeper on the hard level, so mission accomplished? The Retro Sherbet album is great.

  • @simonjcurd  Jan 30

Hey, just listening to Retro Sherbet and love it! Look forward to hearing more 😀

  • @ginomakesmusic  Jan 30

Immediate watch for viola love, haha. 😀 looking forward to your FAWMpositions!

  • @odilongreen  Jan 30

I'm always a fan of cool concept albums, so I very much look forward to your Grimm EP.

  • @oddaustin Jan 30

Cool to see all that fine material from last year got released as a concept record. I did a similar geek concept thing, but haven't finished any of it yet. Congratulations on being far more successful in your geek-song-releasing endeavors!

  • @chariotbaldwin  Jan 30

Welcome back and good luck - quirky stuff rules, even though I don't have a smidgen of talent for that genre. Anything to open the mind right?

  • @tawny249  Jan 30

Dude, your stuff is sort of like nerdcore but not? I can't describe it, but I like it. 😁 Also, hi, and have an awesome FAWM.

  • @zecoop  Jan 29

What an amazing year you've had!! Can't wait to get some new music from you... I'm excited! 😀

  • @clioem  Jan 29

Hey Meri! Are you back this year?

  • @kovbleu  Jan 29

Hi Mari Amber! Looking forward to what you're going to do this FAWM! 😀
