Oh Mantra & Caterwauler, I just couldn't resist listening to your other pieces. Because I left a comment on your soundboard, and then saw there were some I hadn't heard before. So I thought why not take a listen. And then I thought why not another. So... see, I told you. You're just too cute to resist. ๐Ÿ˜€

    I love your words of advice. You're so smart. Merci beaucoup! ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธ

Thank you for your kind words and purrs on "Quilted Heart".

Hi Axl! I can assure you it's NOT your music that's attracting Jupiter. It's *my* music being played by mom through the stereo system that's attracting him/her. I just realized you have 16 songs! I need to start paying attention more. Congratulations Mantra! Meow meow meow meow meow-Translation: "Meow".
Looking forward to more collabs with you sir!

When I started improvising songs, I found it really easy to do a minute, maybe a minute and a half, but those never really felt complete. I started using a timer to make sure I didn't stop until I met a personal minimum length. Earlier, I was using a timer on my phone, but I thought it was more distracting to have me look away at times than to just have it visible in the video. For my "drive-by" skirmishes, I was going for songs that were 2:30-3:30 in length, with an ideal length of 3:00. For me it came in to fruition as a refinement of my earlier skirmish technique.

I really like the improvisational approach in general, I know some cats do engage in acapella work, but I imagine live-looping may work better for your usual type of music. That's something I want to try eventually, but I'm not sure when.

Thank you for your purrs and kisses, Mantra! You have done very well this month! All your musical creations have been so unique and captivating. I enjoyed learning so much about different sounds and places from you. Your songs provide a place of refuge, especially when things seem chaotic. And your meows are forever memorable. Thank you for everything and congratulations on your fawm win! ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธ

Thanks for your reply Mantra! Jack had hoped to be an indoor/outdoor cat, and was really good about coming when called at first, but then the call of the wild won out over our calls, and he'd only come back when he could bring something dead with him. After killing a rare flying squirrel, he was put under house arrest. We tried a small dog harness we had, but it isn't as adjustable in the chest as the one you're wearing in the photos, so it was awkward to walk in and Jack could Houdini out of it when he got sick of it. So I'll look into other small dog harnesses of different designs. I think you'r right, comfort of the harness and technique of the human are key. As long as the experience doesn't feel restricting, there's nothing to try escape. Except maybe when Jack sees a squirrel teasing him. Thanks for the tips!

Mantra i just read your comment and it's been only ONE fawm and already your becoming one of them stuck up rock stars. Like Axl Rose. Can I be your groupie?

  • @alphanerg Feb 25

14 songs Mantra, you win! Ask for extra treats!

  • @ihelen Feb 25

Mantra, thank you for your constant kindness. You always know how to make others feel so nice. You know, your purrrs encouraged me to finish the Roses song. I don't like inaccessible stuff too, but you are so cute - nobody can resist giving in to you. And here is a treat for you. I hope you enjoy tuna fish. ><(((*>

  • @pinky  Feb 24

When humans leave the room, Mantra, they all go to meetings on how to better serve their cats(:

  • @ihelen Feb 24

Thank you, Mantra for the sweet purrrrrrsszzzzzz. (-_-)zzz โค๏ธ

  • @engebretsen  Feb 23

Thx again for comments on my songs!

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 23 you more than likely will never meet a dinosaur although there are people out there who say they exist in certain parts of Africa. So don't go to Africa if you are afraid of Dinos Mantra. That's awesome that you are considerate of bringing your mom living as opposed to dead presents. She appreciates your gifts regardless, but yes, we humans are a bit more involved emotionally and, for those who honor all life, a living gift is best ๐Ÿ˜€ Your brother taught you well. Be easy on Emile though when teaching him the ropes ok?** Puts inaccessible catnip in lock proof safe** .....yes, i'm evil mwaa hahaha. You know what my problem is Mantra? I love to tease everybody.

  • @ihelen Feb 23

Mantra, your soothing purrrrrrrs make me feel so nice and even more sleepy than I already am. I think I'll just lay down instead of working on the song. If iwilleatyou throws me into a solitary dungeon, I will find a way to send you the toy python. ๐Ÿ˜‰ โค๏ธ

  • @pinky  Feb 21

Thanks for the generous offer Mantra! Though all tuna, chicken, and apparently cantaloupe(for some odd reason) decisions first go through my cat, Jack. So I'll have to see if he'll let me have any(:

  • @wacha  Feb 21

Thank you for the feedback on "Damaged".

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 21

Well I can definitely understand your owner, but you are felines after all right? It's like canines....I really love canines and actually befriended a coyote....but a coyote took a feline of mine. Nature says it all...nothing is sacred.
I didn't lock the last song..... @helen locked it because it has yet to be completed. Can you believe her? The nerve! I have a solitary dungeon with a hungry python all set and ready for her if she fails me. It's a fake rubber python but hopefully it'll scare the begeezus out of her.

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 21

Jupiter escapes! Sorry Mantra and Emile. Here's some catnip and a jungle cat post so you don't scratch your owner. you guys need a jungle cat post when you've got the forest right?
    As Michelle Pfeiffer would say.....meow.

  • @ihelen Feb 21

    Maow meow. *purrrrrrr*
[Thank you for the lovely comments. You are purrfect.] ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy Love Your Pet Day, Mantra! ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 20

Mantra, are you forgetting something? I have the catnip. If you want the catnip you better be a good little meow meow. That means no eating Jupiter the mouse! But you can use your owner as a scratching post. That's totally fine.

  • @pinky  Feb 20

@ihelen and I made a song for you Mantra! Make sure your human gives you extra treats and tummy rubs today!

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 18

You definitely are strong Mantra! ๐Ÿ˜€'ll never beat me at arm wrestling. Sorry mate.

  • @errol Feb 14

  • @mrmule Feb 2018

Thanks mantra and human! I'm grateful to anyone who sits through a twenty minute song without experiencing it live, because not everyone does it.

  • @iwilleatyou Jan 2018
