Thanks Mal. She seems to be in good spirits, pretty nauseous, but recovering well. Appears to have all her senses, talking, hand-to-eye coordination, has been up and walking already, but is sleeping a lot. I just went out to the car to bring in my guitar.

So, like, what are the chances that we could maybe, like, collaborate during 50/90? I feel like I'd enjoy exerting my influence more directly. I think I've been in 2 morphing song challenges with you, but that's as close as it's gotten. I'll hit you up this summer if you will do me the honor.

I also have to take a trip to Missouri at some point. That may be a discussion for a different time. My dad retired to Branson West about 5 years ago and I still haven't visited him. Ever. Bad on me...

No huge pressure deadline. The original deadline of prior to March 21st got pushed back 3 weeks, but with Chip shooting footage of the UAV conversion this week, it would be cool to put the tune in the producer's hands when he submits what he's shooting. I asked him to send me a picture of the plane so you can have a visual. I'll check in with him again today.

The 727 flight and crash as an unmanned aircraft is pushed back 3 weeks, but still a go sometime in April. The aircraft is undergoing the conversion right now and the documentary is being filmed of the progress.
Any inspiration coming for "Long Live the Pigship"?
My lyrics to "A Secret Between You and Me" (co-written with Stephanie Shaner) were just published in Rogue Magazine along with my short story "Meet Neil--He's Not Real" and the song is still being recorded by Steel Siren. Starting to get some publicity for my collaborations, but "Long Live the Pigship" has the potential to end up on tv. Rock it!

Either way would be cool. It sounds neat if you wrote a piece the length of the animation. Then I could line it up--or you, as you could match it up completely how you want it--and it would feel like a soundtrack.

OR, if you wrote a song-song, you could just edit your favorite part to the song.

Lots of things...but I say go with what you think would create a cool atmosphere. Or something.

Ah yes, the locked tunes. They're locked because I'm not finished with the lyrics yet. I did unlock one last night, though, and I'm working on the music for it (I need an intro, a bridge, and some corrections in the verses). I'm also working on the lyrics to the other songs, so I'll have everything unlocked by tomorrow. But I got several song fragments late one night. Just so you know.

I think it would be cool if you wrote some lyrics based on some theme, and than I'd write the music completely.

After that, I'd send you the music and you'd record the vocals completely.

Or something like that. That's just one idea. I'm not good at collaborating, or you know, the logistics behind it. Any pointers would be awesome.

After I ripped my mp3s, I realized I didn't credit you in the mp3 data...let me know if (and what) I should stick in there if you're interested in keeping the records straight.

(honestly though, I don't think there is anything noteworthy about my FAWM start...but the option is there, I can edit the tags in a jiffy. Of course, anonymity isn't a bad thing on my one take wonders, wish I could hide my name sometimes )
