Update 2018-02-28: Thanks so much to everyone, especially my wonderful collaborators and those who have inspired me more than words will ever say. It's been too long. See y'all for 50/90 😀

UPDATE: I am SOOOOO glad to be back, my friends! I let my day job get in the way from 2015-2017, but I'm back on track in every way. Amazing what a cross-country move can do once you get your creative space dialed in.

My seventh (?!) FAWM, if you don't count the dark years, which I don't.

Been away a while. I think I found what I thought I was looking for... I walked away.

I (try to) make music that **I** want to listen to. I've been writing/producing electronic music under the moniker of looprication since 2000.

Leave a message. Log in to FAWM or sign up first!

    There’s always next year 😀

Thanks for the comment! Glad I found you as well!

  • @solarrainuk  2 weeks

Thanks dude, I appreciate it. FAWM always seems to be over too quickly! Maybe catch up with you during 50/90 if you're doing it later this year 😀

    Maew eeh! Mew hmm!
[Thank you for all your comments! The bird sound in Corn Fields is not a bird sound : it's me meowing. I have a very high voice, and apparently a lot of people mistake me for a bird when my human adds reverb to it.]

Thx a lot for comments on "Where the beat is" Much appreciated.

Haha thanks for your beautiful comment on my skirmish song "Goodbye Tank". Don't doubt yourself lol that's the last thing I want to do with my songs. I will tell you this - When I wrote that skirmish, I was very mused with the idea I have in my head, it was a fresh memory that I needed to write about from a real experience (Well the Tank is not real) but you get what I mean... Anyways thanks. means a lot.

Hello fellow Richmonder! I like your style and if you’re interested I’d be totally down for a collab in some future FAWM or 5090 or other event. Nice to find someone else in the area.

Haha! I do realize I sound like an asshole. The thing is, I had big plans for that melody. It was supposed to be an apology to my mum with a big ol' production. But then I took a week off to wallow in misery and didn't write anything except that one take. It's too late in the game to pretend like I don't have feelings sometimes. Also, I still have a voicemail from you from 2012.

Wow, thanks for the great comments on Raven & Lost Spark. I'm a huge Tool fan & I thought their music has always had a social commentary worth noting. As for the background of The Raven, yeah there is a lot going on there. I really appreciate that you took the time to listen to it twice. Thanks Loop!

    See You In The Shadows…

Thanks so much for your comments! I'm glad you appreciate my influences (= Without those artists my sound would probably be a lot different! you have some great ones too, wow

We should make this happen year round. I love your songs.

Thanks for the sweet liner notes. Made my day. And frankly, my voice has been such shit the past week, thank god for throat coat tea and vocal warmups I finally made it. 😀 -Ru

Thanks very much for your kind words on my "Insomnia"! What a coincidence that we both posted "Insomnia" songs today. 😀

  • @aeye 4 weeks

Thanks for checking out that song. So it's not quite a hammer Dulcimer but it's an instrument from the Native Instruments "India" Plugin. I used the sound plus the Ableton arp plugin to get that dulcimer like effect. Glad you liked it!

  • @devindesu  5 weeks

Thanks for your kind comments on my songs so far. Working through all your songs right now and really liking what I’m hearing.

"is that a theremin Mantra is playing?!"
Nope, unfortunately I don't have one. Mantra only plays synths.
Are your cats huge and fat too? Mantra is a giant compared to the European cats norm, and he likes food *very much*.

  • @theawkwardsleep 5 weeks

I’m working on your song soon!!

  • @captainvulpine  5 weeks

LOOPY LOOPY LOOPY! Great to see you old friend!

I just tried the Captain Vulpine link and it worked for me just fine. Wierd…

Thanks for your great comments on my Scarecrow tracks. I've wandered away from the Field for a while, trying to get some non-concept album tracks. But I will be back to find what hides in the shadows at the foot of the Scarecrow. So stay tuned 😀

    See You In The Shadows…

Thanks for your comment. Some of the things you saw in Children Of Darkness are indeed there. Isn't it interesting, all that music can convey without words?

  • @marchllywd1 5 weeks

Hello my friend. Thank you for the encouragement. I will absolutely post some demos. I am working on 2 now for this challenge. At least one will be up by this weekend.

  • @solarrainuk  6 weeks

Hey really appreciate the comment, loop, thanks man. Yeah that is the Monome Grid 128, it's a really fun and creative sequencer, I'm still in two-minds as to whether it's really worth its price as there are tons of alternatives, though it does have some unique qualities I think.

I'll be glad to chat to you about the eurorack stuff later if you wish. Say goodbye to your wallet though if you decide to go that route!

  • @theawkwardsleep 6 weeks

Hey! lets do it! Send me something soon!
