My name is Eric. This will be my 4th FAWM. This year I will be branching out and doing all sorts of things different from past FAWMs.

Yeah I hear you. However, if you want to try a really cool modern DAW/tracker, check out Renoise. You can download and play with it for free, it just won't let you export to audio unless you buy. But they have an intro/tutorial video that is not too long and makes it all quite simple. I wish I just had a better ear for the chiptune "sound."
