Thanks for checking out "Mystic's Longing" and your kind feedback!

  • @zecoop  Mar 2

p.s. - Please stop by next year... I would *love* to have you sing on one of my songs. 😁

  • @zecoop  Mar 2

You know what? You've discovered the horrible truth of FAWM. You realize after a while that is is sad that you will NEVER be able to discover and listen to all the amazing people and songs you would like to. There are just too many and I have "discovered people" here this year that I absolutely love... and who have been doing FAWM for years and years. In 7 years I never ran across them.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments and for taking the time to listen. I enjoyed what I heard of yours *so* much and look forward to listening to more. I am very glad that I found you, in your first year!! See... it does happen sometimes!

Thank you so much! You know what, I thought "Cardigans" too! Cool that you heard that in "So...Whatever" as well. Thanks for the listen!

NaSoAlMo is all on our own. Last year there were about 130 registered users and a few dozen active ones. NaSoAlMo has no writing games, challenges, or collaboration. There is a Facebook group and a Reddit group where people can have discussions and post song links, but they are very quiet relative to the FAWM forums.

  • @andygetch  Feb 23

Hi, you mentioned NaNoWriMo in the forum. I started a songbook/story idea there that is still stuck. I do write songs there. Other songwriting things, NaSoAlMo is fun but much quieter than FAWM or the 50 songs in 90 days challenge. I am in a Song Skirmish group on Facebook that does a song a week 😀

Thank you for commenting on my 12 string song "Storm Winds" - I've been playing (gasp) half a century, so I should know my way around 6/12 strings by now. 😀 You don't sound like you're "struggling" with 4 at all!

  • @poptarthero Feb 22

Thanks for listening! Ha ha, I knew the title sounded like that! It really wasn't intended that way, it just ties back to some of the lyrics in other songs, odd repeat themes. But you know, it can be seen however right! I thought it was eye catching enough.

  • @brrrse  Feb 22

Thanks for commenting on Storm Winds. I don't have any plans for the lyrics at the moment. If you hear something, feel free to play with it!

  • @jwhanberry  Feb 21

Thanks for listening and commenting on "Surf Sailor". Glad you liked it. That guitar and I played a lot of surf music in our younger days.

    Have a great week.

  • @skwaer Feb 9

So glad the encouragement worked.. keep it up!

  • @squeakmouse73 Feb 7

Gracias for your encouragement, and thank you also for the music recommend. I'll have to look them up.

  • @zecoop  Feb 6

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to Fall into Dreams... I really appreciated your comment. I know *exactly* what you mean about the looper pedal. I have had mine for three years and this was the first time I used it. I only did one loop, but hopefully I'll get braver. I hope you can try one too! 😀

  • @ihelen  Feb 6

Thank you for your comment on my one chord song. It was also nice to meet here again, and I'm sure I'll be hearing more from you this month. 😀

  • @skwaer Feb 6

¡Necesitamos más! Just some encouragement to keep posting. 😀

  • @ihelen  Feb 4

Thank you for commenting and listening to my uke song too. You're definitely correct - it's so much easier to play and record with the ukulele. And I like your idea to try not to spend over 3 days on one song. It's easy to get carried away when adding a bunch of other equipment to the mix. Hope you're having a great weekend!

  • @andygetch  Feb 4

Hello and welcome to FAWM! Time limits is how I do this with a day job, family, friends and other obligations. Thanks for listening, I look forward to hearing more of your songs 😀.

  • @degausser  Feb 3

Thanks for your message! Back when I did my 1st FAWM, I only had acoustic guitar and vocals (I was absolutely terrible too) but each year, I have grown my equipment and skills I guess. Nothing wrong with simplicity at all though, and I'm sure I'll do a stripped down song when I've not got the time to spend hours on mixing and faffing! And yes, it kept reminding me of Placebo too!

  • @laotranati Feb 1

    @pipewrench67 Thanks! I'll check it out 😀!

  • @pipewrench67  Feb 1

Hello, welcome I see have a uke you should search out #fuc (FAWM Uke Club) there are a lot of them here.
