Influences: Dylan, Neil Young, Melanie, the Stones
I'm a rootsy/folky singer-songwriter who started back performing out in 2014 after a longgggish break for marriage and graduate school. I made it to ABD status for a doctorate at Columbia University and then wised up and turned in my books for my first true love -- music.
I'm a two-time Philadelphia Folk Festival performer (2015 & 2016) and my influences range from Peter, Paul and Mary to Odetta to Lucinda Williams. My songs are relatively simple to match my guitar playing skills!!!
My first full-length CD, New Hope Chateau, was released in October 2016. Featured on radio stations worldwide, New Hope Chateau earned spots on all three Folk DJ radio charts in October including a #9 song (Long Ago, Far Away), and earned the #20 album and #30 artist spots.
Hi Katherine. Thank you for listening to Townes. I can't wait to hear suggestions. I made some changes to the second chorus. I look forward to seeing you. Winter Songfest?
Kathrine, Hi, hope you are enjoying FAWM this year. I am. I just came across a song that made me think of your style. Check out http://fawm.org/songs/69594/ It was inspired by the one of the skirmish topics last night, Snow Moon. It's really good. I wrote one too for snow moon called Snow Moonlight, if you want to check it out on my page @winchperry. I'm putting you on my watchlist!
Happy FAWM to you, Katherine!
