yeah, great project here! as we were discussing, differentiating the dr.'s voice from that of johnny might be the only 'bug.' all in all, the sequencing is awesome; as is the mix-in of guitar parts/vocals. the vocal melodies are really cool. the only 'off' thing for me was telling the dr. and johnny apart. what about having something like a ring modulator and/or distortion box on the dr's voice?; anything to better distinguish it from johnny. brock meatslab's voice is perfect.

Right back at ya - that comment about the penultimate song being climactic but actually less creepy is a great note.

this is a wonderful showing. two fawms ago i wrote a soundtrack to an early 90's rpg (though i didnt post any of the tracks...not sure why), and its always phenomenal to hear those sounds used appropriately and with an understanding of their functionality. the arrangements are really tight.

That's exactly how I've been, up to my third FAWM so far and each year I've gotten better at knowing my own voice, using it as best I can, and yet also taking it to new and interesting places. smile

Just for the record, I have had The Ballad of Johnny Luck stuck in my head for most of the evening. I'm almost tempted to use the chorus on an unrelated song. With credit to yourself of course! Love your effort so far this year.

Thanks for the comments on FAWMed up Winter! Next time it would be cool to sample in some "tooth brush singing"!

Hey thanks for the comment! All the sounds are from an iPad/iPhone app called Pixitracker. They are part of a soundpack that came with the app, all 8-bit sounds I believe.

Thanks for the feedback on Deja Vu. As for the fuller sound, I hope to one day have that to a band with a real drummer. Also, I'll probably add bass to the current demo after FAWM (I get a little lazy on my demos sometimes and cut out the bass completely big_smile )
