Bio

I grew up like most people, starting very young. Eventually I became older, so I was forced to work for a living. But I prefer playing my Gretsch, though it doesn't pay nearly as well--or at all, for that matter. I write songs and stories for fun, often at night, which is hard because you can't see anything. But I keep doing it anyway, and will probably keep it up until somebody calls the cops.

Actually, here's a good tutorial. I was right, it seems. I don't get to say that often smile

John, no problem. What I sent were midi files. They should end in .mid Since I don't use GB, I'm not positive about this, but you should just be able to drag and drop them into a GB project's arrange window (the standard window you'd normally work in) and just assign a piano voice to them. Again, since GB is a little different than Logic in terms of implementation, I'm not sure that's the way, but it's seems logical (pardon the pun). If that doesn't work, look for an import command and try to import the midi file that way? Let me know if one of those works and if not, I'll see if I can find more info on doing it in GB.

Also, for auditioning purposes - you can just drag the file to the icon of your Quicktime app and it'll play there using the Mac's built in midi sounds.

Also, remember that one of those files (I spec'd it in the original letter) is a two parter - one part is the left hand and one the right.

Hey John, just checking, did you get those piano parts? If they weren't to your taste or you couldn't use them, not a big deal. I hadn't heard anything, so I'm just curious. Let me know if you get the chance.

Hey John, thanks for the comment on Signs on the Crows. I hadn't thought of Season of the Witch, but I hear it now. Glad you liked it. And good to talk to you again this year. I'll try to get back to listen to some more of yours asap. Have a good rest of Feb.
