Fourth FAWM, the first one I just lurked in the background, too shy to post.
I'd love to do some collabs this year. I can offer loop based tracks for you to add elements, or you bring the music and I'm happy to offer up vocals or lyrics, or both if you really want them.
In the past, I've hesitated to ask to collaborate with others due to us all being so busy with trying to crank out the 14 tunes in this 28 day span, but working with others to create something brings me so much joy, so if you're interested - please reach out and let me know!
Happy 2014 FAWM, and here's to you and your win!

Hi and thanks so much for the comment on Bering Sea Gold. I've been a fan of DC for most of the time it's been on and went back to watch the first two seasons on Netflix. It's one of the only shows that I will always watch. They usually replay the whole season but this year they didn't and I don't know why. April isn't too far away and we must compare notes on the goings on. Find me on facebook so we can do that! I've almost got the melody where I want it. I played it at my songwriters' retreat last weekend and it came off well enough but I'd like to make it a bit better. It's got a traditional sound with D,E,A chords. I hope you'll get a few more songs up before the end. You know, you can put up titles if it gets late and then plug in the songs if you need to. My friend Snoozin' is from up your way, in case you don't know her. Several of my friends are big fans of Ellis Paul. I'll definitely give that song a listen that you recommended and I'll come by to hear your songs.
@scottlake Feb 20
Jae, maybe ask listeners for an alternative ending. I'm not happy with that part in particular. BTW Chords are sort of:
Verses: G, Em9, Cmaj7, Bm9, G, Em9, Cmaj7, Am7/9
Chorus: Am7/9, Bm9, Cmaj7, D, Am7/9, Bm9, Em9, D

Thanks for the comment on my jingle. The "them" is referring to the property's
strengths, not the listener.
@scottlake Feb 19
Here's a 320 kbps .mp3. You should be able to add to it in your DAW software. I'm not happy with the ending. It turned out blues-ier than you probably imagined, for me as well. I wish my real acoustic piano was in better tune, I would re-record with that. http://rockstarnot.rekkerd.org/songs/FAWMArchive/fawm2014/Permanent%20Snow%20-%20Jae%20Nadon%20Scott%20Lake%20co%20Export%203.mp3 If you don't want to add anything to it, go ahead and post it, or I could do that - your choice.
@scottlake Feb 19
Jae, the dropbox folder you shared with me does not allow me to upload files into it. So, that's not going to work. I have a fairly complete version with vox, bass, piano, drums and B3 organ. Let me know how you would like to get it. I can host it on my site and give you the link, post a demo here at FAWM using that link, or some other thing of your choosing.
@ange Feb 18
Hi Jae, thank you so much for your sweet comment on my song. sadly this is likely to be my only submission this year as I record my new album. However, I liked that song so much it will be on the album! Good luck with the rest of FAWm and happy FAWMing x
@bithprod Feb 18
Hey Jae! Finally got to record There's no home. Let me know what you think before I share it with the world. The mix is a bit raw, and the vocals are recorded straight into the PC mic, but it's the best I can do right now. http://files.fawmers.com/FAWM_14/bithprod/Theres_no_home_JaeN.mp3
@zecoop Feb 18
By the way, what would you hope for on a collab from my side? Everything but lyrics/vocals?
@scottlake Feb 17
Got it. Stay tuned - it might be a couple days before I can get back doing recording. I feel the same about the chorus. I can send you monkey's audio files of each track (compressed lossless audio) if you use a PC. If you use a mac, I can post .wav files to my website or dropbox. That way you can add harmonies, take a verse, add your own to it. I'll send you a roughed out chord chart as well. Right now, it's 77 bpm.
@zecoop Feb 17
Cool... good to hear from you! I'm still in stress out mode, hoping that ideas still come out and I make it to 14. My collabs so far have been surprises to me, but I will definitely keep you in mind and hopefully we can get something put together!
@bithprod Feb 17
I'll see what I can do. It's mostly my partner-in-crime who makes those R.E.M. style melodies, but I'll try to come up with something decent.
@scottlake Feb 17
OK, here's a crack at the verses - see if this works. if this is not the feel you were looking for, I completely understand. I can't sing like the dude from CC, and I definitely don't have his dreads.... http://rockstarnot.rekkerd.org/songs/FAWMArchive/fawm2014/Permanent%20Snow%20-%20Jae%20Nadon%20Scott%20Lake%20co%20Export%202.mp3 Let me know if this can work or not, if so, I'll keep working and record vocals when the washing machine isn't running! I'll add in some bluesy-rock guitar as well.
@evelbist Feb 14
I still have you watchlisted even after 2 years, without a doubt I'll keep it that way. Only there's no songs yet to enjoy - what gives?
@mdavisto Feb 13
Hey man. Thanks for your kind words about our Mass Love project, I'm glad you gave it a spin.
@capriciousangel Feb 8
RE the corpse; yep, i got them, and i did mine, and sent them to PWT, who is the next on the list
So it's actually waiting on him, but he's in charge of a heck of a lot of corpses, so that's probably why
Thanks though, your lyrics were great
@gslade Feb 6
Really? Well send it to me and I'll see what I can do.
@donna Feb 5
Jae, thank you for your kind comment on 'Farther to Go than the Moon'.
I hope you're well. And that you'll be posting soon.
@dragondreams Feb 5
