Third year participating in FAWM!

If you've been following my journey, 2010 (in Michigan) - I just lurked and enjoyed the music that you wonderful people make... 2011 (in Michigan) - I actually participated and was quite pleased to hit the goal of completing at least 14 songs. 2012 (in Calgary, AB) - It was tough to complete the 14 songs, but I did thanks to some great collaborators! 2013 (in Windsor, ON) - back home in Windsor from my year in Calgary for work and I'm ready to "FAWM it up!!"

I haven't recorded anything since doing the move, but my little area is set back up and I have the creative bug running through my veins - asking me to stretch out and try some new things.

This year I plan on doing an album called "Inspiration and Interpretation". I'll take some of my favorite songs and do my interpretation of the song, inspired by components of that favorite song. Some of the songs are old favorites, some are new songs that have had a lot of success but may not be my typical writing style.

In addition to these - I'm really hoping to collaborate with you fine folks this year, so don't be shy about hitting me up if you'd like to work on something!

  Thanks for your comment on Mr. Quigley Says It's Over. A very rough demo is up which I recorded live on take one this morning right about 7AM. I'll get the timing down and re-record soon. I think this will be a fun one to perform...especially at the end of a show.

  Thanks for your comment on "The Priorities of Sleep." I just redid the vocals and updated the demo if you wanted to hear it. I think it makes the song a lot more enjoyable now, even if it's not 100% perfect (but it's FAWM, I try not to go perfect )

  hello and thank you for the comment. södra is a big industrial forestry collective in southern sweden. hope they aren't villains (getting a bit risky?) i have a bit of timber in my back garden with it on - it's a nice word. anyway, found this out on wiki then had a lovely (stereotypical) image of a load of guys in checked shirts looking after their forests, but no, it is large scale! i did think of doing the trees perspective, (called why be a tree?) and may do in the future i like this kind of silliness. thanks again xx

  Hi Jae, thanks for the coments - defo going to play around with the track more after FAWM but had that riff and vocal for a while and couldn't progress it as I wanted and with 3 days to go, gave into it being more a ditty for now.

  Thanks for your feedback on my lyric, "You Will Be Alone." I actually appreciate constructive criticism, so it's all good! Those 3rd lines in the verses that you mentioned are my *visual* lines...lol...so I'll be looking it all over as I go along....some lyrics need more time to be fleshed out....which is half the fun!
