I'm a comedy musician at TheFuMP.com (the Funny Music Project) and I do nerdy, geeky songs about video games, comics, tv shows and movies, and various other nerd-centric things. I even had the #1 song on the Dr Demento show for 2015! I'm one half of Scooter Picnic (@scooterpicnic) with TV's Kyle (@tvskyle) but this is my solo FAWM profile. Our FAWM album from 2012 can be found here:
I'm hoping to get a few good songs done for my upcoming...things. This year I'm planning on attempting what I couldn't do last year: work on tracks for an upcoming musical/rock opera/concept album/thingy I've been planning for a while, or anything else that strikes me at the time. My work can be found at:

Cool man, I put it on the calendar, I'll try to make it up there.
Hey man, had a lot of fun listening to your stuff this FAWM. Hit me up if you ever need a 2nd or 3rd nerdy rapper; the raps were some of the most fun for me this year. Maybe we can hit a collab next time.
That rappening totally cracked me up, btw. Made up words are the best for raps.
Lol - Thanks for the comment on Achievement Unlocked and for the link. Fun song! 😀 (I swear I wasn't trying to copy you! 😀 Great minds do think alike! 😉 )
Insane Ian, I like your style and I like your noise.
I'm hosting a FAWM showcase and open mic for Chicago and Chicagoland FAWMers THIS Saturday, February 25th at 6:30 o clock PM in the evening up at Reach Yoga in Glencoe and I'd like to extend an invitation to you and yours to come show off your February creations!
It's going to be an awesome evening of songwriters doing their funky thang, and proceeds and donations are going to Ukulele Kids Club (helping kids in hospitals through instruments, lessons and music therapy) so it's for a great cause too!
We're gonna need your magical filk vibe, just sayin. This is your chance to save the world.
Hope to see you there! Here's the deets!
Keep pushing man, you can do it! Seven-Song-Saturday on the horizon!!!
Thanks for the comments on "I'll be your outlet". Somewhat intentional deception, more just to keep you thinking you've got it figured out and then see if you're right at the end. I had fun writing it, but wasn't sure if I was dragging it out too long for one joke at the end. It was certainly fun coming up with a lot of innuendo.
Ah...no email...can you email me? I am away until Friday, but should have some time over the weekend...most of my stuff is a bit abstract / improvised electronica, would be great to have some vocals or spoken word type stuff that I could create textures and background sounds behind. Silly, strange, serious, severe or downright odd works for me.
Yep...collab away...i will email some ideas
Gave Alphabetically Yours a listen. Pretty good. I especially liked the parts where you went through the A through H and then when you had all those girlfriends and the tons of S names.
Thanks for your comments on my work in progress rock opera. Currently no idea what I'm gonna call it cause I actually have no idea what is going to transpire...I'm kind of just writing it on the fly.
Hey Ian! Yeah, we've been to Marscon for the last couple years, though we mostly just hung out at the Space Oddity Room Party and played music there. I've been meaning to try to see more stuff and meet more people there... but last year was a bad year.
Hopefully I'll see you there this year! 😀
My parents aren't really musicians, but I'm definitely at least a second generation *nerd*.
Yes! Ian is here!
Oh, and I just saw your response from a day ago! FAWM is kinda weird in that you have to respond on the other person's page or they won't see it, even if you tag them in a response written on your own page. I'm in Rogers Park. I'm familiar with Des Plaines and have been to Schaumberg once! Nice to have you in the general area! If you're ever in the city and wanna grab a coffee lemme know!
Ian, thank you so much for that kind comment you left for my Disney parody! Always nice to know other fellow Cthulhu disciples - er, I mean fans. *Secret handshake*
Hey, Ian! Oh you're a recent transplant too? (Hasn't been that long for me either, just nearly two years). Which suburb?
