Bio

I'm

a singer/songwriter. The piano is my home base; I adore a good melody. I love waking up with a hook or a lyric stuck in my head.

a worship leader. One of the fundamental rhythms of my life is leading music and worship every Sunday with my church community.

a new mama. Because of my sweet baby girl, most of the songs I've written in the past 6 months have been about poop or tiny toes or baby cheeks... but as fun as that is, I'm looking forward to writing some different material this February.

Looking forward to interacting with all of you.

Your voice is amazing and it really shines in New Grooves. I love the build up before you hit those big notes. Very soothing! Excellent work. And Congradulations on the newly added inspiration to your family!!!

I'm totally fine with posting it when we can. Life is what it is so the deadline can be flexible. And I wasn't sure about the listing you as a collaborator without asking first, so sorry for making you kind of hang out there without work to credit.. I think in previous years I've asked first, but realized this year that for you to have access, I could just list you right off the bat. I suppose there is some etiquette posted somewhere about that, but I didn't check since I'm trying to be very focused with my time. Anyway, yes, I'll email you my rough thing and you can nice it up if you like. Thanks!

Looking forward to all your offerings this year. "The Purpose" from last year is on my list of all-time favorite songs. Noting your comments on worship music above - you might like to stop in on this thread: http://fawm.org/forums/thread/2550/

I'm stoked you think the song sounds like it's being played in a giant cathedral. My dream was to record my album in a church.

The iphone app is a free app called studio.M. I downloaded MusicStudio as well and that's not useful. I also bought GarageBand and that is kinda cool to play fake instruments on, but you record 8 bars at a time so it's kind of a hassle recording live instruments.

I also bought for $60 a Tascam iXZ which is an interface which allows you to plug a quarter inch instrument cable or a mic cable into your iPhone. It has a headphone plug in it so you can listen and play or sing along to what you've already recorded.

I might buy the upgrade for studio.M because it supports more tracks and supports importing and exporting tracks. I got Alchemy and it is an interesting synth app and supports exporting and so I think it would be cool to add synth from that app into my recorded songs.

I should probably open a thread about this stuff.

Hannah-hopefully we'll get something written, though it will be kind of crazy. This year we've got the baby of course...and I start my new job on Feb 1st. We also will have my mom then Brian's mom here the 1st 2 weeks of Feb. So yeah. But I can't imagine not doing at least something. At least even with all of that going on I won't be battling the constant nausea/morning sickness I had at this time last year!
