How does February roll around so quickly all the time!? Alas, another year of not doing any more recording, but FAWM is good to kick me into gear creatively.
Back for my 6th (or is it 7th...?) FAWM.
Will be using my Mopho X4 synth a fair bit more methinks, and a few old casio/yamaha keyboards/organs before I get rid of them once and for all!
Open to collabs if anyone is interested, particularly if you want to contribute lyrics or vocals. But I'm up for anything really.

Hey! The App I used is called Resolume - there's a demo at https://resolume.com
To get the white flashes, I set up the brightness to be increased with the bass frequencies of the audio. You can adjust it so specific frequency bands can influence what is happening visually. It's pretty cool what you can do with it, and in real time.
Thanks so much! It just so happens that Aus is pretty much the furthest away part of the globe from us so proved too hard to get to so far but I am itching to visit! Now to be clear the cat is in California, not Copenhagen, don't wanna send you to the wrong country! 😝
Thanks for the feedback Mike, appreciate the listens. Bummed out I couldn't do more tracks in time - I have some more stuff ready, but I didn't really wanna rush it out in one day alas.
Ha, "Alex the Kidd" just made me giggle.. d'ya mean Alex Kidd? Though, he was a kid too, albeit one that looked like a monkey. ANYWAY, it's not.. ha! It's just a cut in the video to one of those coin operated animatronic ride thingies that my sister was on. Directly after, on the video, I have a go on it and "hilariously" keep going "wooooooooah, stopppppppp!" for about 8 minutes straight.
Hah thanks man, I been swamped at work pitching for new stuff - finally got some time to lock down some stuff at least!
I'll check out some of your tracks soon too
A "wedding-ish" thing eh? Sounds intriguing! I've got time to do another 4 I reckon, just doubt I'll be able to put much work in sadly. Ah yeah for sure, I want to be played on KROQ radio! (the only Australian station I know)
Ha yeah, was a lazy comparison by someone who knows nothing about the genre really, ha! Great stuff though, production skilllllllz. Haha, I love the little understanding you and Susy have with comments... me and Julie were going to do the same, but then she commented on one of mine once and it snowballed from there. Now we're both in back-slapping hell.
Thanks again for the collab dude.. you did a good job despite your lack of technical knowledge x
Thanks for your kinds words about What If You Died Today?
Thanks for the kind words on Nero! I like your list of influences, Gotye and Fleet Foxes especially. 😀
God if there's time yes definitely! Let me have a think 👍🏻
Perhaps some research on how equipment works before giving technical advice on its use could be helpful in the future. Good day.
Re runaway. Kinda hard to pan on a 4 track tape. I did the very best I could with vocals on runway. Too bad you had to find something to complain about and critique. I take it personally.
hanley, thank you for posting on "Doggone Lonely Blues".
Thx for comments on Dream Catcher. Much appreciated.
Thanks for checking out the Hot Drinks Theme Song. The first two episodes are up! Beasts they were....
Thanks for listening and commenting on "Doggone Lonely Blues". That was a fun song to do. It just sort of fell out when I read the lyric. The form just happened from that. The flexibility of the blues never ceases to amaze.
And thank you!
No it's Reaper, I always mean to make the jump to Live but never can be bothered to. That said, it is a pig to splice and manipulate samples manually. The BBs sample is a really short clip from A Day in the Life of a Tree
Oh wow, always amazed that people can get such natural sounds out of a bit of tech. I wish I could drum too, I'm entirely reliant on looperman and freesounds myself.
Excellent start so far man! Field recordings are always good, looking forward to hearing those. Too early at the mo, but how do you fancy tackling the collab? Shall we just see if either of us has some idea sketches?
Thanks for your comment - Weezer and Green Day are some of my favourite bands! 😁
Hello there! 😀
Welcome back. Looking forward to hearing what you come up with.
Yo. Your missus said you bought Wivi Band. How good is that, eh?
Here he is, look. Hope you've bought a sitar and will use it in ever single track.
Yasssssss here we go again, man. I have popcorn. Play me new stuff.
