Bio

Introduced to FAWM by my brother Jeff, I made a half-hearted attempt at FAWM last year and an only slightly less half-hearted attempt at 50/90 the year before.

This year, though, will be full-hearted, as I have written the book to a musical called "Unicorn City" with the intention of writing music (at least preliminarily) as part of FAWM.

Eventually I will accompany Jonathan Coulton on the ukulele. I'm not so concerned if he's a willing participant in this.

I perform improv and sketch comedy in Chicago and have done a fair amount of lyric-writing in those pursuits, but minimal creation of the music to go with it. So forgive the accompaniments. I'll get help afterwords, I swear!

The Google ad in the sidebar thinks I'm a lesbian. I find this adorable.

Hey greg, congrats on the win! I'm going to finish at 8 this year I fear sad When do I get to hear them live in production?

I've listened to three of these so far and they're wonderful.

The only problem is that I'm starting to hear a "Unicorn City" song in my head as a parody of "Paradise City"...or is that "Suffragette City"? smile

Hey Greg - your stuff sounds like it is right up my alley. I also write comedy songs, and I was the piano player for a musical improv group here in the Philadelphia area. I've heard of Jonathan Coulton -- he tours a lot with one of my favorite "comedy music" acts, Paul and Storm.

Good luck! I am also in the "half-hearted in previous years" camp and I'm determined to put more heart into it this time around. I'm also a fellow improviser - in addition to regular longform improv, I was in a musical improv troupe for 3 years where I got to make up songs all the time. It's easy in front of an audience, not so easy in front of a blank screen...

Hey! Looking forward to hearing it!
