Bio

OK, March. Time to try to actually record demos for these, an effort made somewhat difficult by a noisy dorm building. But have no fear--spring break is coming up, and I intend to make use of it. Demos will come up as I have the time.

Anyway, I'm a college student studying Music Therapy. This is (was?) my second FAWM, and I'll definitely continue to participate. My music tends to be static-ridden and mostly unedited--which is to be expected, given my knowledge of recording and available technology--and more of a folksy kind of style--which is bizarre because I listen to more jazz and rock than folk. I play violin and piano, but the instruments you'll hear most from me are guitar and voice. So, yeah.

Thanks for commenting several days ago on "stir up the system." I'm still coming around for more listening, and just had a taste of "Rains Will Come" - lovely! Also can't believe I see the Monkees and Loreena McKinnet coinciding in someone else's background! We used to have neighborhood dance parties in my living room when I was 6 years old, and yes, I was a member of the fan club! wink And Loreena just MOVES me at my libidinal core!

Thanks for your input on 'when the sun is in the sky'. I guess I succeeded in what I set out to do with it.

    Music therapy... awesome!
PS From what I can tell from my teaching experience last year, I'm actually kinda boring when I teach. Hence trying to write songs for teaching... to make it 'funner'. ;p

Wow. Songwriting is really hard to do while your roommate is singing "Single Ladies" off key.

Greenambit, thanks for signing up for Halfpenny Orchestra’s Loteria Challenge. You have been dealt: El Cantarito (The Pitcher, No. 44). We’ve also seen it translated as “the water pitcher” or “the little pitcher.” In the description of your song, please include the subject of the card and its number. Also, please include loteria as a tag. Have fun!

We can take the easy route and one of us can make a backing track for the other to use...or we can double it up...both of us make backing tracks for the other person....and switch...so we both have to get into the other person's style....maybe leave the chorus of each song open for the person that made the beat so we both have both our voices on both songs....both both both..just in case i didn't say "both" enough...lol..email me what you think...check my profile for the address...
