Bio

So this is my second real FAWM. I wrote a lot last year but did very little recording. I love playing music with g-slab and company each week and have been working hard at my Bass skills - we will see what that does to this year's crop of songs. I have a great wife and three fun girls that will probably play a prominent role in what I write. I am excited that FAWM is here.

  •  duaneclancy 2 months ago
I'll see if I can work up a video for the song "I've Decided" for you ... I'm sure I can show you the idea anyway ... I'll give you a bump when I do ... but I am curious about your feeling on it smile are you interested in doing your own version? I would like to see what you can come up with as well ... I'll show you mine if you show me yours ...

http://fawm.org/forums/thread/3472 G-snap is worth a look. Free. You don't coem out sounding like FridayFriday. Works for me. Matches your FAWM label!
  •  downburst 2 months ago
Thanks for your comments on my littlest songs. smile
  •  duaneclancy 2 months ago
Thanks for stoppin' by smile It took me about an hour of tryin' before I could do it without bustin' up ... and they usually don't effect me that way ... just hit the right nerve I guess.
  •  ellenpliss 2 months ago
thanks so much for your kind comment on my Dear John song/letter smile I am rarely called "creative" so that was a big boost -- especially as FAWM draws to a close [ boo sad ] Thank you!
  •  snoozin 2 months ago
    I hope I fixed it...sorry
  •  kevinemmrich 2 months ago
Man you're fast. My demo link had htpp so I fixed it to http -- It was only broke for 30 seconds! Thanks for trying, though.
  •  toms 2 months ago
Personally, I want to be a Dead Boy.
  •  skullcrush 2 months ago
Thanks for the comment on *29373, I'd love a music video being made of it too - too bad that kind of thing is a bit beyond my reach at the moment. There's been a lot of fan-made crossovers between the BBC Sherlock series and Doctor Who, since they share writers, and the main characters are quite similar in terms of wit and intelligence. And of course, they both take place in London, most of the time. An actual crossover episode would be very interesting, wouldn't it? http://oyo-yoh.deviantart.com/art/Sherlock-arguing-with-a-Dalek-281251891

A punk song? Ah, now, as long as we're talking punk c. 1977, I can do that. How's your punk?

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! I was very happy to read it! Unfortunately, I had not that much time to comment all I would have liked to comment, but you do a great job! I really like the style of your lyrics! Keep up the great work!!

My good dude, thanks for all your great comments over on our Iocane Power project this year. Leslie and I have been so whacked working on it, but having good folks like yourself swing by has been a major motivation...glad you liked it!

Leslie and I made a pact to get listening, as soon as my hearing recovers big_smile
Congrats on your FAWM, you've hooked it up good!

  • kylegreer 3 months ago
hey there! thanks so much for all the kinds words! i just learned how to multitrack on garageband, and it's really helping the balance with the voice and piano to be able to play and record both at the same time (glad it's noticeable big_smile). that silence is totally a fluke wink i must've accidentally cut and pasted the piano part WAAAY at the end; so, when i sent it to iTunes it became 11 minutes long! i'll definitely fix and repost wink i can't wait to hear the songs you've put up! look forward to more exchanges big_smile
  •  ellenpliss 3 months ago

  •  davidkav 3 months ago
Hey, g-man! Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to listen to my song and to leave a comment. It's Sort Of autobiographical. Took some liberties as one can do in the beautiful craft they call songwriting. But, nonetheless. wink
So, I'm at work right now. Otherwise, I'd totally jump in head first in listening to your tune. I'll have to come back to it. Remind me and I will do so. yikes
Thanks again, man! RAWK on FAWM style! big_smile
