Bio

i've done this every year since 2004. lately been trying different things -- collaborations, sound collages, feasts.

2012 has come and gone...
i did 15 songs in the first 15 days of the month.
then i did 14 songs on the 25th of the month.
i did a cool random collab with @blindkiwi.
and at the last minute i added my words and vocals to a collab with fellow fawmvet @ericdistad. them vox were sloppy -- i'll probably redo them now that i know what i was trying to do in the first place...

------------------

i live in alaska. in a small village of about 100 inupiaq/ingaliqmiut eskimos. on an island in the bering strait.

thanks, burr. nice work. quite the monster, this thing.

Hey there Sir Fireball, thanks very much for you comment on my 'WHHarrison' song. I remember hearing of that collection of songs about the presidents...I must track that down! Always great to hear from a Founding Fawmer...congrats on your output.

Various parts. Mostly in Phnom Penh, but also Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom. Beautiful beautiful places. And loveliest people, my best friends.

ALLLOOOO!! How goes the alaska? Ooooh, you're almost done! Congrats! And sorry I had to go so quickly on gmail chat. I came back and you were gone!

Anyway, thanks for the comment on my song. As you can see... I've not been doing much fawming this year. Well, other than harassing people on the forums. big_smile

    No song! All yours!
  • kaylou 3 months ago
Thanks for the comment! I may get a demo up but I haven't written a melody to the song yet. And you are right - the escape theme isn't unique to the teen years. I mainly named it that because of the few lines mentioning school grades and feeling pressure from authority figures. tongue Thank you again!

Hey, thanks for the comment on my song. It would definitely be a challenge to fit vocals to my music - I can't sing worth a damn so I don't even try. This is my second FAWM, so it's possible we've crossed paths before!
  •  blindkiwi 3 months ago
    Just sent you an email

Hi fireball, yes, it's official, we are a collab

Yes I usually prefer to do lyrics first, It has been a slow start for me this year, about 5 half written lyrics and not one completed. Maybe this will be kick I need. Do you have a genre or topic preference?
  •  caseewilson 3 months ago
Thank you for your comments smile please don't give up on doing piano chords, when I started, all I could do was bang out some chords too! I look forward to hearing more of your work big_smile
