Artist Bio

Influences:   Phil Ochs, Dylan, Lennon, Lightfoot, Bob Seger, Pete Seeger, Paul Simon, Delbert McClinton, Shel Silverstein, Jimmy Buffett, Beatles Songwriting Academy

Started playing guitar in the 60s, Chuck Berry, Dylan and the Beatles. Played in a several bands, wrote a lot of songs (mostly bad), but started seriously committing to it in 2013. I did NaSoAlMo one year, and did the RPM challenge in 2014, but I think this is more in line with what I am doing now - learning to write better songs. Finished 5090 2015 with a trophy. I also finished FAWM in 2016 with a trophy.

Thanks for the notice on the non-playing track. Don't feel obligated, but it's fixed. *tips hat*

Glad you enjoyed "Anti-Reflective." Now about your secret super power and making a payoff....mwah hah hah hah. (I guess I'm influenced by the shady characters that rattle around in my head.)

Hey there Patrick. Thanks for the comments. Yeah, the full album version of that punk song will be just over 2 minutes because it's going to go long. 😀

Thanks famous, for your comments on Born in the Wild. A clumsy message is the best I could manage for a skirmish, but maybe I could make it more subtle...

  • @mishykatz  2 weeks

Thanks, I noticed that after I put it up I am going to re-record it , thanks!

I totally agree! I have many bad songs in me, a goodly number of OK ones, and a tiny handful of actually good ones. I'm pretty happy about this! 😁 Thank you for the kind comment and the listen!

I very much appreciate your kind comment about "I Dream of Green Hills." I'm gratified to know you felt sympathy for the singer - I was certainly trying to evoke that feeling.

Thanks for the comment on Ticket Open Patrick! This line: I have this weird picture of a queue of code monkeys with eye patches hauling on long line of unspooled plotter paper. made me laugh out loud! I love it! If I ever do an album of IT Shanties, this is so going to be the cover art! 😀

Thanks Patrick for your kind comments on my Addiction song. Maybe I'll write a song about a music box sometime. If you think you failed the skirmish because of the time limit, then I completely failed as well. 😉

Patrick, thank you so much for your generous words about "The Lady of the Harbor"! It's great to see you here again. Hope you have a wonderful FAWM.

Thank you for the kind comment! Hey, rhyming is for people with talent! 😁

Hi Patrick, thank you for your kind comment on my lyric. I might have music for it, just need to check it first. Sometimes I write just lyrics simply because I don't depend on whether it is quiet or not in the room, recording can be tricky as any noise can make it stop and then the moment is gone... With fl studio though it is ok to have the noise but sometimes I'm just into my piano sounds... Anyway, I know what you mean, I should try to connect lyrics and music. Thank you for the inspiration.

The bodhran thought occurred to me too. I'll have to make/buy one. I would've used my tambourine but it was too sharp/
