it seems that songs are like a row of cabinets with noisy bangers of wood inside. they bang and bang on their doors until you fall prey to them and open their door.
once out, they most times flow osmotically through you, slowly taking control. that slow process explains why they take so damn long to get right. but once they are done with you they leave happily and go their merry way, leaving you with the song that sometimes needs refinement or not. they leave that to you, they're happily off enjoying themselves wherever they go after they do their dirty work.
i find there are enough cabinets with doorbangers inside such that i don't want to force a song out on my own anymore as they just don't have that magic 'it' the doorbangers have. the only problem is that i have a regular life and the doorbangers disrupt it so much so that i have to throttle them. which is why FAWM is great, you have an excuse to let a few more of them out than usual.
i dont have a 'style' as my doorbangers are quite a mob and explains why the tracks are all over the place. pick a song, listen to the first few seconds, and you'll get a good idea where its going. if it doesn't fit your taste, try the next ...
