Knock yourself out - this is a tall, twisty mountain, but I have every confidence in you.

Thank you very much for thinking of me.

  • @jfrancissmith  Feb 12

Thanks for your lovely comment. And I'm loving the Pop Sonnets! My new favorite thing.

  • @mikeskliar  Feb 12

thanks, the new preamp (ART one-channel tube amp) I have is great, so, yeah, I don't need that interface (thanks tho!!!) --- meanwhile, I should organize a FAWM NYC gathering, yes? 😀

  • @postcardhelicopters  Feb 11

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to get a laugh out of the Donkeypants song! Thanks! 😁

  • @balancelost  Feb 8

Hey, thanks for your comment! If you want to listen to stuff that sounds like Je Suis Un Poisson I can recommend a band from Houston called Khruangbin. They were my inspiration.

  • @halfwalk Feb 8

Thanks for listening and commenting! That intro sound is actually sampled strings, with cello con sordino for the "meat" of the sound and some really soft violins, some sul pont and some tremolo, that are harmonizing it in a way that almost sounds like overtones. Then the signal is saturated and fed a touch of room reverb, and "swelled" with a volume pedal.

I appreciate the interest and the feedback. Happy FAWMing!

  • @mjayp Feb 6

Thank you for the great feedback. Glad you agreed with the ‘catchy’ tag!

  • @woolford  Feb 6

Man, thank you for such generous feedback on “Julie Andrews”. I needed that support today. Thanks Erik!

  • @akokulit Feb 6

Thanks for your feedback on my song man. Glad you loved it and glad you made some analysis as to which parts made it sound good - will keep those in mind so I can use them on my next songs. Will check out your songs. 😀

  • @engebretsen  Feb 6

Thanks a lot on comments for comments on "Smooth and soft" Much appreciated. Waiting for you´re next song to listen too as well.

  • @corinnecurcio  Feb 6

Thanks for your thoughtful comments on my songs Erik! Appreciate them. Truth be told, what you think was an "inspired" change in drum rhythm on "Stand in Line" was a mistake I couldn't be bothered to fix! 😁

  • @matt42 Feb 5

hey! thanks so much for the feedback! I recorded that in a few minutes so it's practically improvised. I'm excited to be apart of FAWM and appreciate your welcome message 😀

  • @mikeskliar  Feb 4

hey- first, great to see ya here again and thanks for the note and thoughts re- mic, interface, etc. I think my PC does not have a firewire input, but my apple mac laptop I think does? (I took a pix of the connections, looks ilke there may be a 4 prong firewire, if that makes any sense?) I should text you the pix or something!
