Bio

Professional slacker from Bremerton, the punk rock capital of the Northwest and home of the Slaughter County Roller Vixens. Shameless purveyor of comics, prose fiction, and rock 'n' roll. Guitarist and keyboardist in training. Punkwave fusionist and apostle of the New Wave Revival.

This year, for the first time ever, I'll be playing most of the keyboard parts in my songs. In fact, I now have the best keyboard riff I've come up with since FAWM '09. Prepare for the Double Casio Attack! I'm playing my guitars and ukulele as well. And for this leap year edition, I'm willing to collaborate (if you want me to with you, please tell me on my soundboard below).

My novel "Chaos Angel Spanner" is currently in the final edit phase; since the chapters are getting overly long, I plan to publish each one online in comic book fashion starting this summer. The final version will get even more songs, including some I'm writing for this year's edition of FAWM.

This year, I *am* taking part in 50/90! Hopefully I'll even thrash out 50 songs for once. Current plans: 1) A rock opera about the impending implosion of the Republican Party. 2) Acoustic anthems for Occupy, which I neglected to do for FAWM. 3) Je chanterai en français!

I like the idea of whimsical! Do you want to sing at all? Because I've just started a song about soup. and superman. and I don't know how to continue it. I have a chorus and a bit of a verse and now I'm stuck, and I was thinking it'd work as a two-parter, each person doing a voice.

clearly you'd have to be superman.

or we could do something entirely from scratch! about, um. raw tuna on cloche hats. or- or the adventures of a five-legged mandarin duck. or the secret life of drinking straws.
