  • @judypie  6 days

Hehehe a GTA highlight for me ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @judypie  1 week

  • @adforperu  1 week

I think the swirling vocals you're talking about is Taylor Swift singing "Treacherous" ๐Ÿ˜€ THAT'S why we like it.

  • @shortdan  1 week

I'd love to hear you do something on the electric like that with vocals before FAWM's out. Any chance?

  • @shortdan  1 week

Your instrumental reminded me of something I'd heard recently but I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was. Then it hit me! I don't have Spotify anymore so you'll have to look it up manually (I've checked they have it though) - have a listen to the track 'Amores Perros' by Gustavo Santaolalla (it's track one on the Amores Perros soundtrack - only 50 seconds long). Similar kind of vibe don't you reckon?

  • @ihelen 1 week

Thank you for your comments on the valentine song. I enjoyed hearing your music as well. Sorry to read that you've gotten ill. Hope you get well soon!

  • @cleanshoes 1 week

Thanks! I might be interested in a collab, what did you have in mind? Feel free to send me an email so we can discuss!

  • @judypie  1 week

Yeah well, you're a dickless dick

  • @cnidaria  1 week

What youโ€™re observing is the curve of my mood swings manifest in song form ๐Ÿ˜€.

And if you do make a loud-last-chorus version of Ghostess, be sure to send it my way.

  • @jibbidy34  1 week

Congratulations Centurion Soldier! You wrote 100 comments for your fellow FAWMers!! You made this place even better. You took your time to listen to other people's songs and you have 100 thank you's from all of them and from me! Hereโ€™s your badge. Excellent work and keep bustingโ€™ those zongs!!

  • @dancrook 2 weeks

Really appreciate detailed feedback fella- big encouragement . LETS DO THIS

  • @corinnelucy  2 weeks

Thanks for the comment on Live & Die This Way! The lyrics @tiedyehero sent were so damn good it wasn't hard to put emotion into them ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @judypie  2 weeks

LDR-really! I did wonder about what a bass would add! Would liked to have polished it off better and redone last vocals but no tiimmmmeeee. May revisit after Fawm! I got sooooo tired yanking on the guitar trying to keep time!

  • @theidleowl  2 weeks

Well I can do in the evening next week sometime but the week after is my half-term so that might be better? Cracking stuff so far this FAWM Paul, I've always liked your vocals, but they're particularly on fire this FAWM!

  • @theidleowl  2 weeks

Thanks for all the comments Paul! Glad you like the songs. I'm excited to check out your next 2 in my listening session tomorrow!

  • @dancrook 2 weeks

    glad you're doing FAWM mate.
Can I request some more fast paced acoustic rock with lots of words?

  • @iwilleatyou 2 weeks

The only sample used at the end of the song is from a film called "A Girl Walks Home Alone At night".

  • @mungus  2 weeks

Hey man, thanks for your awesome comments! The lyrics took an unexpected turn when writing them - I can't even tell if they're serious or tongue in cheek1

Y'know a lot of folk have said I'd quite like bright eyes, I'll check them out, 'Digital ash' is the album to go for yeah?

  • @majordanby  2 weeks

This is a classic, such a lovely song from start to end. Perfect instrumentation and build towards the end. Love it. (Karl).

You asked Dan who you remind him of: thereโ€™s something about this song and your voice that is familiar, definitely a good thing, original song, no comparutions, but great. Thereโ€™s a little House of Love about you and an English Paul Westerberg, classic song writing.

  • @lowhum 2 weeks

Thanks for the comments on the Russian one - there is a Russian guy doing songs in Russian - @nicetrip

  • @cbodovinitz 2 weeks

Thank you. No one's ever compared me to Michael Stipe before. That's a first

  • @owl  2 weeks

Thanks for commenting on "The Loneliest Bird" --there's actually no uke on that one (for once!)

  • @haim  2 weeks

Thank you for your kind comment on "this is how i live". glad you liked it... very very nice to read it, thanks again.

  • @teapot 2 weeks

I know, I know. I'd love to join in but still have the flu :'( deffo up for a collab soon

  • @cnidaria  2 weeks

Thanks for the listen! Yeah, I have a ton of free time on my hands this year (for once) so I've been FAWMing my little heart out.

  • @majordanby  2 weeks

Thanks for the comment on Be Good Or Else Be Gone, this is the first song Iโ€™ve written in a long time. Hopefully it has unlocked something. Dan loves Radiohead, so although there were some recording struggles, it was fun. We did record another last night but only got the guitar track down, vocal melody to be learnt by Dan.

  • @jani 2 weeks

Hey Paul! Thanks for your friendly comments- I am kinda a limited producer I use audacity and do my back up vocals myself. Glad you like! You're stuff sounds great!

  • @davecuthbertson 2 weeks

Hi Paul cheers for the welcome and kind comments. I've listened to your efforts so far and am really impressed - your lyrics and vocals puts me in mind of a band called Blueboy : once you're past the string intro on this one I think you'll see what I mean. Emotional but in absolutely no way cloying

Really nice instrumentation throughout too, looking forward to getting stuck into your upcoming songs! I've added the lyrics to my first one too as requested

OH and for the cajon, I recorded with a condenser mic quite close to the soundhole which was initially overwhelming but used Audacity to cut a lot of the bassiness out. Seemed to work by luck more than judgment...

  • @haim  2 weeks

Sometimes my lack of english fluent understanding effects at how I see things, Thanks for the kind comment on "Joy", I read it again it's really nice. Have a lovely fawm.

  • @haim  2 weeks

Ahh I think I understand.. I just wanted you to know that it doesn't mean that I'm on top of the world if I write happy, it might come from other places too.. And you were joking in the way you put your words, I just took it a bit too seriously.

  • @haim  2 weeks

Hi.. I'm not sure if I understand well your comment on my song "Joy". Thanks for the comment Haha I liked when you say that I play the harmonica like my life depends on it. I am just trying to make other people who might feel really low to be lifted up even for a minute or two, hope you understand this and know that I'm not showing off at anything.

  • @owl  2 weeks

Thank you for coming by and commenting! Virtue signalling = "the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue." but I find right now it's commonly used as an insult by a lot of people to dismiss other people's opinions or altruistic efforts, usually conservative towards liberal. You say or do something outspoken in favor of the environment but you still use plastic bags? Oh then that's just virtue-signalling nonsense.

  • @amelea 3 weeks

Thank you for commenting! The dramatic noises were from keyboard/synth-

  • @karlsburg25  3 weeks

  • @judypie  3 weeks

Nooo I tried to play you my crying wolf song yesterday remember! Might try finish that tonight.. C and c vibes! Ah thanks, melodies come to me very easily. A little too easily, I always think they must be lifted from elsewhere! Not on purpose tho!

  • @judypie  3 weeks

Glol did I really get a collab on this?! Yassssss! "Another year, well what a difference it makes" sounds totally bright eyes ๐Ÿ˜ I adore this from 3:25 onwards, feels like it takes off. So beaut from there. What a great start!

  • @karlsburg25  4 weeks
