This is my second year doing FAWM. The last year I participated, it didn't really go well. I was still discovering myself as a serious musician, and the lyrics were "eh". This year, I am better. My closet singing has turned into live shows and open mics. My mindless guitar doodling has turned to solid and catchy riffs.I went from messing around on the piano to doing somewhat complex covers and writing songs of my own. In essence, I am more confident in myself as a musician, and I am confident enough to say that it is showing through my music. After four years of writing and hoping to be a musician outside of band class, I am now attending Central Washington University and am earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in music.
