Artist Bio

Influences:   In the year since the last FAWM (which was my first), I have been listening to a lot of folk and Americana and roots music. Not sure which lyric writers have influenced my own writing but I admire Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, and Natalie Merchant among many others and I'm happy to say I just discovered Jason Isbell.

My first FAWM was an unbelievable experience with all the inspiring talent here, as was my first 50/90 this past summer and fall. Hoping for another great FAWM.
Since I only write lyrics, I am always looking for collaborations so please contact me if you like a lyric or if you have music that you want me to hear. If you do like a lyric, but would like to make some changes to it, I'd really appreciate you running the changes by me beforehand. Thanks and happy FAWMing!

Thanks for giving our collab "A Gust of Wind" a spin. I love the Jethro Tull comparison. I have always been a big fan of theirs since "This Was" (Gulp... I just realised, that's 50 years ago this year).

thanks for you nice comment on Favorite sweater. Cough drops on the way. The song made my 13 yr old cry so I figured I might be onto something. Cheers.

  • @audrey  1 week

Thanks for your comment on Evening Echo. You asked me which Sibelius piece inspired it. I'm actually not familiar with Jean Sibelius' music. One day, I'll have to give a listen to some of his works. Sibelius is the brand name of the score-writer software I use to write music. The piano part and the vocal 'echos' are the Sibelius playback of what I wrote using that software.

  • @colgoo  1 week

I can’t believe you weren’t on my watch list....that would explain my radio silence on your fantastic lyrics!!!!

Anyway, thank you for reaching out to me for a collaboration. Now I have you on all my watchlists!!! I promised myself I would not do more than one collab per person during FAWM. Why do your lyrics have to be so tempting????

Thanks for reaching out to me! Hope you are happy with “Everything”! Happy Valentine’s Day.

Hi I wrote music for Evening Echo. Thanks for the great lyrics. If you're interested, I could send you a pdf of the sheet music I wrote for it.

Hi! We got randomly paired! Your part is writing a song. So please contact me via gmail or soundcloud so we can discuss or "track")) (bc I cannot contact you)

  • @wacha  2 weeks

I just took a look at your influences and noticed Natalie Merchant, no wonder we get along so well musically. 10,000 Maniacs and Natalie Merchant have become pretty large influences of mine. Not sure if you had that list up last and I either didn't notice or don't remember seeing them.

  • @jacobeverettwallace  2 weeks

Your next Springsteen meets Isbell lyric...send me a sneak preview before you post it? I wanna give something a whirl before the masses see it if possible. Keep me in mind. You know my style. I'm feeling anthemic this year. 😀

I'm close to Laguna. Not far from kamala, just over the hill past Surin. I knew an American guy called Ted who was involved with teaching English. He left the island a few years ago. It's developing here fast. It's unrecognizable from when I first arrived here.
