Thanks very much for taking the time to listen to "Waiting for the Day" & "Pick a Fight." I appreciate your thoughtful, kind feedback. I'm surprised to find you're a first time FAWMer. Congrats on finding FAWM. This is my second year and I find it's definitely a gift and an invaluable opportunity. Wish I would have followed you earlier in FAWM as well! Thanks again!

ahhh you give such great feedback 🙏 the vocal layering is more a case of practicality. I have found that if i layer vocals and stagger them that it fills up the frequency range. i’ve never had an easy go of mixing one vocal track into a song and having it sit right in the mix 😂 i’ve always dreamed of making this sort of music live but it’s too gear heavy which is expensive and a pain to lug around the world and requires many people and finances 😂 thanks for your support though!

First FAWM!!! Welcome to the madness! Looks like you're on track for a win as well! Keep the songs coming!

Hi, welcome to FAWM. I saw your name in the impending skirmish thread, so I came to check out your bio and say hello, loved your influences, am now listening to "Fit to be tied" and just had to also Watchlist you, cuz I am loving your style!

I hadn't heard of him. Just gave Cherokee a spin, sounds right in my wheelhouse. Thanks for the recommendation. Enjoy the show!

Thanks man! Cooley is one of my favorites so that means a lot.

Wow! Loved the Maggie Rogers suggestion! Hadn’t heard her before... and really liked that track. Thanks for the tip! In Anxiety my lyrics aren’t so much creative as literal... cyclone coming in. 😳 Shouldn’t make landfall just here, but we’re in for some, um, inclement weather.

Thanks for the great comment on "song of the sirens"! That is me singing my heart out with a little chorus in the center track, but the secret sauce is duplicates of the vocal track panned hard left and right with a little distortion mixed in

  • @acacia Feb 9

Thanks @coffeeinthesink! Appreciate the comment and so glad you enjoyed the song! And yes, open windows... don’t have a studio set up and at the moment it’s too hot to close them. The frogs and crickets are nice ambience anyway 😀

Sparklehorse! I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me. I love him too.
