Hey, thanks for listening to 'broken' and your thoughtful comment. I'm a bit of a sucker of that 'recorded in a garage' drum sound, which always annoys my drummer friends ๐Ÿ˜‰ I think it's nice sometimes to try and mix the organic sounds with the more computer/synth based stuff just to prevent it sounding to static. That said I need to improve my drumming!

  • @candle Mar 6

Sounds fun. I'll keep that in mind but you might have to remind me. Have a great year!

    See You In The Shadowsโ€ฆ

  • @zecoop  Mar 6

I will tell you that I am all over the map, as far as styles... I try to tag them so people can kinda tell. Thank you in advance for any listens and I'm looking forward to more of yours. I am currently re-mixing all mine for the Bandcamp album (and listening in between). ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @zecoop  Mar 6

Yea, I thought it was a pretty hilarious challenge - I still have a box of all the games my older brother and I used to play... D&D, Top Secret, 41, Submarine, Panzer... I have no idea how we played those. I got some new dice when I taught my son and we played D&D for a little while.

btw, I really loved the piano one. Sometimes the ones you wish would get more love just go mostly unheard. Doesn't mean they are not great. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @zecoop  Mar 6

Thank you so much... I certainly hope it is something we can play live, as well. I wsa so excited when it showed up on my guitar and Stacy just lifted it. Rob too, with his amazing drums and I can't wait for Chris to play on it too. I really appreciate you taking the time... ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @jamkar  Mar 5

Thank you Diandra! ๐Ÿ˜€ Will you be at 50/90? I would love to collaborate some time!

  • @lishie5000 Mar 1

    Agree with you on โ€œwithout a fight.โ€ I couldnโ€™t find my
snowflake microphone until the other day...sigh! ๐Ÿ˜€ next years sound quality will be much better, for sure!

  • @bjunker  Feb 28

Thanks for the comments on Manifesto! It feels like something that may be worth working on further lyrically - moving it a bit further away from Rogets' words but closer to the form of the songs.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 28

Thanks so much!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ and if the other part should happen to show up after all, I will find a way to merge them both in.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 28

Because you volunteered so kindly... and because our last player seems to be MIA... here's the 10s of my Acoustic Corpse 3 piece for you to work off of!
    http://bythefont.com/alex/fawm2018/ac...

  • @metalfoot  Feb 27

Oh wow. "infinity over infinity/ the homies think i'm strange/ but Imma take the limit of derivatives/and see if it's in range"
Yes, we'll have to do something in 2019. ๐Ÿ˜

  • @metalfoot  Feb 27

Hiphop sounds PERFECT; dropping phat beats and spreading the word of the mathematics... I was hoping to do one about Taylor Series or L'Hospital's Rule this FAWM but time's gotten away from me (so that'll be next year). I'm a fan of isomorphic groups myself but convergence is an evergreen topic too.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 27

What use is a degree in mathematics if you can't write a song about it once in a while? ๐Ÿ˜

  • @wise1 Feb 26

Hey! No worries Diandra. I will post the track on Fawm and I may look at getting someone else to do vocals some other time. I appreciate the efforts you put in and getting back to me on this. I know you've had a pretty busy month and I get those days too where it's not worth forcing out something without any inspiration.

    Best regards ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @captainvulpine  Feb 26

Hiya! I like your style. I'm definitely a bit of a rogue to work with, particularly in a time crunch. My process is pretty erratic and irritating to those prone to a more methodical nature. But hey, if you'll take a chance and trust me then send me a sketch. If we have to stretch it to March, so be it. Eh?

  • @ayehahmur  Feb 25

Hey, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on my bizarre tale of missing pets. Despite the randomness of its coming about, I really quite like this one, so it's nice that other people do too.

Going to head over and hear yours now!

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 25

Thank you, Diandra, for your kind words regarding I Spend My Nights in Pubs. Arthur's lyrics were quite inspiring.

  • @benjo  Feb 24

ha ha i know what you mean
yeah my head hurts a bit now to
i'm looking forward to a break
    thank you for your kindness
i know we will do something
be it this year or next, but you should get that voice out there
    it's fantastic
i won't pester you through email
that wouldn't be polite, so i'll look forward to the next time,
    take care and have fun

    Tony

  • @benjo  Feb 23

    Hey thank you

so nice to hear you're busy
    i can understand why too
yeah i look forward to a collab
hope i can write something to fit you, maybe 50/90 but thank you
take care enjoy the rest of fawm

    Tony

  • @engebretsen  Feb 23

Thank you so much for comments on "Nowhere To Run To" Much appreciated.

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 22

Thanks for your awesome comment on Don't cry for him <3

  • @bradbrubaker  Feb 22

Harpsichord is a good idea. Hmm...may need to rework in March.

  • @laytay Feb 21

yo former Austinite! I'm in Hyde Park. Ish. Yea one of my FAWM commitments was to pick a song each week and have it on spin in my car- so as to really "learn" it the way more than one listen requires. Nine Lives gave me multiple much-needed giggles all last week. Need to check out some of your non-hip-hop stuff too. gonna binge-FAWM all weekend.............

  • @wise1 Feb 20

Hey the same email has the download link right below the soundcloud one (Dropbox). It's in Aiff format which should work the same as Wav. Let me know if there are any issues ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @cowex  Feb 20

RE: Future Taco-story-song-related vocals, that would be amazing! Thank you for the offer! I've made a note and will definitely pester you if I try again. Don't let that stop you or anyone else from trying though! I love to hear these.

  • @engebretsen  Feb 20

Thx a lot for detailed comments on "Windswept Clouds". Much appreciated.

  • @wise1 Feb 20

Hey! I sent a link for the track to your Soundcloud email/message. Hope you like it! Let me know when you can send me back the vocals and we can finish off the details. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @visiblydistorted Feb 19

epic! have fun! looking forward to hearing your version!

  • @visiblydistorted Feb 19

You can change the key if it works better for you, and do the vocals yourself if you'd like. I could re-record them after you put the music together if you want that, but I'm happy to leave it in your hands for the collab. my melody recording is really just the basic idea, to have -something- rather than just lyrics on a page, I'm not super attached to it. But if you want to make the collab a separate song instead of updating my demo, I'm happy to do it that way, with whatever you come up with. let me know if you need anything ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @visiblydistorted Feb 19

Hey, I would actually really love it if you set Avalon's Hinkypunk to music! I'm really fond of it and I think it needs it! Glad you asked.

  • @frenchcricket Feb 19

Hiya - Have emailed you a mix over. Let me know what you think x

  • @elesimo  Feb 17

Hi, Diandra! I would love to do a collaboration with you โ€” I'll send you an email to follow up. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @wacha  Feb 16

Thank you for your kind words on "Follow Me".

  • @nateger Feb 16

Thanks for checking out some of my tunes and leaving comments! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @frenchcricket Feb 15

Great - just sent you a dropbox folder invite

  • @frenchcricket Feb 14

Hey - I have a couple of sections basically done - do you want me to send you them as they are so you can work out some ideas or would you rather a completed track? It's all to click so I can move around and duplicate as necessary

  • @wise1 Feb 14

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. You can send me a few tracks for ideas of what you would like as a electronic instrumental and I will work on something like that. This is a more relaxed House track I started working on: https://soundcloud.com/ace-tonetank/h... If you have some ideas for that I can work on it some more too.

  • @erbaer  Feb 14

Thanks for the thoughtful comments on "Daughter of Swords". I appreciate the listen.

  • @degausser  Feb 14

Haha, well continue to be moody! I'm moody too... Although never quite get to that elusive 'Happy'. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I very much doubt I'll do anything to my songs post-fawm but I'll bear it in mind. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @degausser  Feb 14

By the way, thanks for your honest comment and constructive critism. I totally agree, the last chorus should have been loud!

  • @engebretsen  Feb 14

Thx a lot for comments on "Three of Wands" I really appreciated your description here.

  • @jibbidy34  Feb 14

Congratulations Centurion Soldier! You wrote 100 comments for your fellow FAWMers!! You made this place even better. You took your time to listen to other people's songs and you have 100 thank you's from all of them and from me! Hereโ€™s your badge. Excellent work and keep bustingโ€™ those zongs!!

  • @candle Feb 14

Yes, I'm looking forward to it as well. I drew:

"Once the search is in progress, something will be found"

Still not sure how that is going to play out, but it has me thinkingโ€ฆ

    See You In The Shadowsโ€ฆ

  • @tawny249 Feb 14

Thank you for your nice comment. I am struggling at FAWM this year due to life stress, so it's really nice to know people are still listening to the one recording I got up. <3

  • @guatecoop  Feb 14

Hey thanks for the listen and comment! Very nice to hear, especially in the middle of FAWM.

  • @candle Feb 14

Thanks for the great comment on 10 Of Wands. I look forward to taking you up on the Oblique Startegies challenge.

    See You In The Shadowsโ€ฆ

  • @sheamiejay  Feb 14

Will be posting morph2 version soon. Who does it go to next?

  • @brrrse  Feb 13

thanks for the comments on Pea Soup. I used a some ambient loops from a program called Stagelight, put it all in Reaper, applied fx and all sorts of stuff. All digital ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @bjunker  Feb 13

Thanks for the comments on "story man". It came out much better than I hoped for, I think. Great to be back, and great to hear your songs. Need to arrange a monthlong Feb hiatus from dayjob in future.... Will get some banjo in here somehow!

  • @ianuarius  Feb 13

Yeah, yeah. I love it. Lots of mellotron always a good thing. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @frenchcricket Feb 12

    Cool! Will do

  • @frenchcricket Feb 12

Nope - I can come up with something though no problem. You mentioned moody, brooding ambient, how about something along the lines of Portishead or Broadcast?

  • @heuristicsinc  Feb 12

Haha, no, her singing is not creepy when played at regular speed.
Turns out I've heard Jon Hopkins on the album he did with Eno. Can you suggest a good album to check out?

  • @fonte  Feb 9

Okay, great I will email you! I do in fact have a couple of bits of ideas that I have no idea what to do with that may be worth a listen for you. Likewise, if it doesn't work out no hard feelings I don't hold grudges ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @fonte  Feb 9

Hey, yes it would be interesting to try and collaborate as you say our styles are different but that's what might make it interesting! As a disclaimer I am so time poor at the moment, but in principle yes that would be great. What did you have in mind, you mentioned you could maybe write some lyrics based on an instrumental idea maybe? I often struggle with lyrics so would be great to have something to work with.

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 9

Never heard of will listen later today. Thanks

  • @fonte  Feb 8

Ah...yes tea songs. I might this month...thanks for your kind comment on 'stay' really appreciate the listen.

  • @fonte  Feb 8

Loose leaf Earl Grey is worth a try and many will take it without milk (there are fierce debates over this daily here). But yes green tea is also excellent. I actually wrote a song about tea with a friend once.

  • @seb Feb 8

ok send me thew chorus idea! or whatever you want, lets do it!

  • @fonte  Feb 7

Tea, eh? I'm British, so obviously my whole world revolves around tea...

  • @theneongreen Feb 7

Thank you for your comment on Imagine If - really appreciate it!

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 7

Yes, absolutely. I have added you to the song. I would be honored if you set music to it.

  • @jyllian Feb 7

Thanks for your comment on Dry Bones. The verses that I was thinking about are here: Ezekiel 37:1-14 .

  • @jinx Feb 7

Thanks so much for the comment on "Voici l'orage", Diandra! That was exactly the effect I was going for, so I'm thrilled to hear it worked ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @tomslatter  Feb 6

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I might go for 14 murder ballads this year ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @hamiltonpoolhall  Feb 6

Thanks so much for your comment on "It's Just Arithmetic"! I almost edited that line about bourbon and macrame, but I liked it too ๐Ÿ˜€.

  • @jpt  Feb 5

Thanks for the constructive feedback. I went back and forth on the vocal mix and ended up with it more buried than I should. I can go back to the mix and bring it forward more and will do so because of your input.

  • @ampersandman  Feb 4

Thanks Diandra for your kind comment on Moonlit Road. Although, every vocal line being out of harmony is just due to my inaptitude, haha. I'll have a listen to your songs soon!

  • @seb Feb 4

Hi Diandra, were paired up for the random colab. Have any lyrics or melody you want to work on? Thanks

  • @theodamus Feb 3

Thanks so much for your lovely comment, I adore Dessa! Thatโ€™s a huge compliment ๐Ÿ˜€ thanks for the shower song challenge!

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 3

Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting on mine and Bills collab shades of me

  • @nuitarie Feb 2

Thank you for commenting on my first entry ๐Ÿ˜ Have a lovely day

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 1

Thank you for listening and commenting on Woman by the bay. Yes the full production might inclide a cello or viola that would certainly add to the darkness.

  • @hamiltonpoolhall  Feb 1

Steal away! Looking forward to hearing the results, and whatever else you write this FAWM.
