Influences: Peter Mulvey, James Taylor, Kreg Viesselman, Amos Lee, Ray Lamontagne, Josh Ritter, and anyone else who can rock an acoustic.
"I'll just put this guitar down for a second. I'll play again soon!" - Me... About 24 months ago....
The life of a young professor has been good at keeping me from my instruments.
One song. That's my goal. It'll be one more than I've written in the last year and a half.
Any other Iowa corn-fawmers? Hit me up!
- My weapons of choice are acoustic guitar and tenor ukulele.
- I abhor guitar picks. Keep 'em away from me.
- It has come to my attention that my go-to rhyme scheme is A-A-BB-A. Limericks, anyone?
- My girlfriend once ruined Peter Yarrow's day by having no clue who he was when he borrowed her MacBook charger. I'm trying to fix her.

Casey, not to far away from me. One of my bandmates is from IC. As a former teacher, I know how the profession gets in the way of music sometime. Keep hanging in there, and find some others to play with. There is a great music scene in IC along with very talented individuals.
Thank you so much for un-zonging "Good Things"
Your compliments are very kind.
Since you asked: I use Logic Pro (9), one Rode NT-1A mic, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface and my guitars/bass, Beyerdynamic DT990 headphones and that's basically it. I could take my entire studio to my vacations.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment on my collaboration with Liz. She's amazing and I always love what she does to complete my songs. 😀
Thanks so much for your feedback on Burden of Me! I really appreciate it! Oh, and It is so typical “me” to turn the ukulele into a sad instrument! That made me laugh out loud!
thanks for the comment! also I used to live in Iowa, but not anymore sadly
Your wonderful comment was so appreciated... Seriously, we appreciate you taking the time.
I erased the comments I was going to make on your one posting, since you asked us not to comment, but there's a lot to love there. I've missed you this FAWM! (But I sympathize with the assistant professor stage of life . . . congrats on getting something on the board nevertheless.) Hope you're well!
Hey Casey! How's life in Iowa City? Welcome back to FAWM!
Happy Fawming Casey!
