Artist Bio

Influences:   First one I remember...Sly and the Family Stone Since then, in no particular order...David Byrne, Prokofiev, Adrian Belew, Devo, Todd Rundgren, Keith Jarrett, Carlos Santana, Bjork, Jaco Pastorius, The Clash, David Holsinger, Thelonious Monk, Ravel, George Clinton, Jean-Luc Ponty, Miles Davis, Bill Chase, Portishead, Chick Corea Those are probably the most significant and the most obvious in my music.

Michael Michalski, a.k.a. Chasing Andromeda here. I write...um....well, I am never quite sure what is going to come out of my head. If I hear it, I write it. It usually has synths in it and it often has quite a few layers to it. But it might not have either.

I am not sure how much I will write this year as the day gig has been rather taxing on my time for about 4 months now. It might improve, but it might not. But something will get written and both unsuspecting and willing collaborators will be abused....cordially, of course.

I started producing royalty free and licensed tracks recently. That will take some of my time as well. My Soundcloud and YouTube pages have a wide assortment of samples of my work. The Soundcloud site also has my FAWM work from my first three years of participation.

Enjoy and have a great February!

FAWMtronica Podcast
---------------------------------
For 2013, I will, once again, be producing a podcast of synth driven tracks presented as part of FAWM. The tracks must be written during FAWM 2013 and be posted on the FAWM web site. To be considered for the podcast, simply tag your track with the tag, FAWMtronica. Each podcast will be 45-60 min in duration and may also include news pertinent to synth-driven track producers, like new products, new releases, etc. However, the primary focus of the podcast will be the music. By tagging your track as FAWMtronica, you will granting me permission and a license to use your track on the FAWMtronica podcast at no cost, but you will, of course, retain all rights to your work and I will not have any rights other than the right to use it on one or more of the FAWMtronica podcasts. Looking forward to hearing your submissions!

2013 Goals
------------------
I will have fun writing as much music as suits me.

WARNING: In my comments, I have a terrible habit of comparing tracks to other tracks or artists. When I do, it is always a compliment! If it puts you off, please just send me a message and I will stop.
