Mid 40's, married, one adult child, 3 dachshund mixes and a cat or two. Have been interested in producing electronic music since high school. Have had very little success even getting out of the gate, but I want to keep trying. This year is my first attempt at FAWM, and my intent here is to use this challenge as a forcing function to learn my tools (which currently consist of Ableton Live Lite, Reason, and soon Reaper on the software front, and a couple different MIDI controllers on the hardware front)
Thank you for your kind comment on "Like the Night's Claws on the Face of Creation"! I was pretty happily surprised myself that I could pull of such a song out of nowhere : )
Thanks for your comment on Monochrome, that was a fun experiment. I did it using Ableton Live Intro, the arrangement view is very good to work with, I find.
Anyway, hope you get what you want from fawm, I'll look forward to hearing your other tracks.
Welp made it far enough in a music theory class to string together a few bars with an ACTUAL CHORD PROGRESSION. At last, the music seems like it's moving in a direction.
Now, to improve the direction 😀
I hope to hear some outstanding EDM from you! Thanks for being here at FAWM!
Welcome! I really hope you have a great month of writing and make lots of new friends!
Hey there! I'm glad you joined us! I'm also 40s with a child...very cool experience here and I hope you like it.
